  • Challenge to people knowledgeable about standing waves... what did I capture in this 12-string guitar video that used a canon 7d hight speed shutter video, with similar effect... check it out by clicking me name or searching "magic guitar strings video high speed shutter"

  • 「波長、振幅が等しい二つの波が、【互いに逆向きに】同じ速さで進んで」ゆくというのを明瞭に通時的に可視化してくれたおかげでやっと正確に理解できました。

    Thank you very much.

  • dude....you MUST make MORE OF THESE VIDEOS......im tired of learning theory and not being able to visualize.....

    Godspeed

  • thanks so much : )

  • ¿Is it the same effect that produced between tow near frequencys? Like when tunning a guitar i mean.

    Sorry for my spelling

  • MEGA_AWESUME!!!!! Finally the stuff I've been searching for :D

  • how can this be translated into audio? what would be the result, does the third line then represent another tone? is this harmonics? I created a sinve wave, then reversed it, and combined the 2. what happened - the signal was the same but much lower amplitude, thus quieter. Is this the same thing? it doesnt seem like it. The third line would have to be a negative value.. Does anyone know what Im trying to ask

  • @LiquidChem If you listen to a "standing wave," you'll notice beats. Basically, the amplitude of the sound goes up and down, but the frequency remain the same.

  • This a 4 loop standing wave but how is a 1 loop standing wave created?

  • OMG i cant believe a 10 second video helped me so much

  • Ah, totally understand now

  • so hot... where can i find the full video?

  • heyyyyyyyyyyy and then it creates a super crest and super trough

  • In one point it looks like DNA.

    It's just 0:08

  • yeah dude i busted my load at that part

  • @Rishro lol... so whats that called?

  • Thanks so much for this video. As always, extremely elucidating.

  • thanks! finally understand what it means when they say between nodes are half a wave length and stuff. =))

  • Well put. That's the same effect this vid had for me :)

  • yer me too

  • Ha thanks it was the same for me also =)

  • is the yellow one composition of the others???

  • The yellow wave is the addition of the two other waves (superposition principle).

  • cant a wave in resonance be a standing wave. i believe this is right, i know tesla did a ton of work with resonance and standing waves of earth resonance and of course his tesla coils.

  • lol nice vid, just needed to see what the book meant by standing wave.. i mean how can a wave stand??

  • This is a great video to show how a standing wave is made from two traveling wave going in opposite directions. Bravo!

  • LOL believe it or not that explained everything
