  • man you are rich... i just have a macbook pro...

  • macs suck balls

  • Should I get a MacBook pro or a MacBook air,I can't decide...

  • i just bought a 2011 imac with lion, what do i have to do if i want to reinstall lion in the future since i don't have the app installer where it is supposed to be ?

  • @Slick23021991 See my 2011 MacBook Air video, about 5:50 in.

  • @blakecottington thanks a lot !

  • @Slick23021991 Easy, use a macbook or something to download installer. Or you could go into purchases while holding shift and redownloading it.

  • @tino730 thanks, i kind of have another problem now, last week i installed mountain lion developer preview, i didn't like it and my recovery disk turned into mountain lion so i had no lion installer disk and i just took one from the internet and installed it, it works fine but now when i go into the mac app store to the lion app it doesn't recognize it as being installed, how can i get my legitimate copy of lion back ?

  • I did this on my iMac 21.5 core i5 and that took 16 minutes.

  • Hi,i have a MacBook Pro with os x 10.6.8 and i'd like to update to 10.7.

The only way to do this is Buying on the Mac Store or have other way Download Torrent...

Sorry For My english i'm Brazilian!

  • what can i do if i hae 10.4.11

  • myn take 0 minutes cause i bought my macbook at the store and it already came with osx lion

  • Were do you find the download of Lion, I have installed it on my pro and want to on my air but i cant find the file.

  • @jyoung7998 Check the Applications folder or do a spotlight search for "Install Mac OS X Lion.app" If you don't find it, you may be out of luck as I believe the file gets deleted after the update is complete. Also, maybe you can download again from the App Store without being charged? Not sure on that, though.

  • I WANT IMAC

  • @tamir3589 if you want a mac jst go buy random pc and install lynux ubantu and you have mac lol. free too lol.

  • If I upgrade to Lion, will my files be deleted?

  • Perfect

  • what is battery backup?

  • didn't expect that from the imac

  • i love apples :D :P

  • you have everything apple!

  • Mouse pad nice !

  • blake if you get quicken essentials it will work with lion i researched this on the internet and you will more than definately be able to use quicken I hope this helps

  • Very nice video as always. I have to agree about the full screen app issue. I'm sure it'll get patched, but in its current state it seems unacceptable that it's only allowing one app at a time, especially across multiple screens. Hope they fix this soon!

I also love Tiny Tower! Very addicting lol

  • it was very good. Exactly what i wanted to see :)

  • From what I'm hearing this os is a performance hog.

  • sorry to hear about Quicken not working after all in Lion. that does suck eh. and I damn sure don't see a point in paying betwee 95 and 100 bucks oem for win 7 just to use it. i forgot. Is bootcamp a separate price from buying an apple product or does it come with it? i know parallels is a separate purchase.

  • Blake,

Great idea on the install race. Curious to hear how Lion is running on your 11-inch air and whether or not you're noticing any performance degradation? I've got an 11-inch air in the 1.6/4gb config, but I'm hesitant to install Lion after some of the negative reviews I've read in the app store. Please do share your thoughts when you get a chance.

  • @iAppTricksGerman interfacelift . com

  • Great video, I've just done exactly the same thing. It took me around 17 minutes on my MBP with Apple SSD.

  • @MyRandomReviews Cool! Anyone else care to share results?

  • @blakecottington it tools 16 hours on my iMac :(

  • Very cool video

  • @eenofonn Thank you for watching!

  • Sup Blake

  • @timbojtimboj Sup

  • Great video as always man! BIG thumbs up!

  • @LaczupakabraPL Appreciate it as always!

  • So all your programs worked? Did you happen to have CS5 installed on any of your computers? If you did, did work after the upgrade or did you have to reinstall it?

  • @DanMan91693 Yep CS5.5 worked without a hitch (though I admit I didn't perform any through testing). Just had to install the Java Runtime as I mentioned in the video. The prompt for this was automatic and it was installed in just a few clicks. Hope this helps!

  • 25 text messages... don't you ever read your texts lol?

  • @MatDaveShow Usually I see them on the lock screen then never bother to actually open the message.

  • @blakecottington haha, so that means you never reply to them!

  • @MatDaveShow Well not all need replying. Some are junk. They add up!

  • very good idea to make this race ;)

  • @MatDaveShow Thanks! I didn't plan on it but I thought what the heck.

  • Very nice video!!!

What do you tell me to buy, the high end 13in macbook aor with upgrade to dual-core i7 or macbook pro 15 inch quad-core 2.0 i7? I dont want my laptop to be outdated soon the macbook pro was introduced 5month from now :s

  • @XxFadfoud macbookpro!

  • @XxFadfoud Thanks. Do you need the extra screen space? Do you need the extra connectivity? The 15" is nice but it's hard to beat the portability of the 13" model or even a MacBook Air. If you want a Pro and you don't absolutely need it now, might be worth it to wait. MacBook Pros are probably about mid product cycle. Hope this helps!

  • @blakecottington It would be my first mac, and I absolutely need a new laptop this week.

If i was going to buy the macbook air im going to buy the external superdrive. I dont really need any extra connectivity except the superdrive because i don't have any other apple product and I use wireless connection. That's the problem i don't know if i should buy the pro right now because i don't think apple will make an upgrade to the macbook pro before april, because in april the ivy bridge intel

  • @blakecottington processor will be coming out in april and I don't see the point of apple refreshing the macbook pro without upgrading the processor, btw i have an open budget

  • @XxFadfoud If that's really not until April then maybe they will do a spec bump before the end of the year. Wouldn't be surprised because otherwise it would be more than a year between refreshes. There have also been rumors of a complete redesign for the MBP line to possibly introduce some more elements of the MBA. Who knows. Either way if you need one this week, I vote MBA but if you go MBP make sure to consider SSD!
