I used to do that to my lighters all the time. Make the flames shoot out like that. All you have to do is open it, and turn the valve past how high it's supposed to go (if that makes sense) it's hard to explain without showing you. However it burns up the gas like four times faster, so it's cool for effect, but that's about it.
