I thought I was the only one who did this! the first time I did this I got AMAZING results. I don't do it all the time just to make sure that I'm not stressing my hair out with the bands (my personal opinion). :-)

what does streaching your hair do and how long do you keep it in..... and i like black girls hair stright instead of curly, but thats mostly because im mixed and my hair is curly

Im confused wouldnt all those bands put pressure on the hair & increase breakage & split ends just learning bout this method from your video so I dont know anything about this method Please explain further....

i experienced no breakage from this, it is much like putting your hair in a pony tail, the first band at your root is the only one actually creating any tenion between your head and the hair the rest just help your hair create and elongated shape. its safe

I like this video. But I think it's funny...I mean how long have us black people had black hair??? It's as though we have spent soooooooo long calling it "bad hair" and trying to make it straight or wearing weave etc, we've lost the ability to do our own hair. CRAZY! Banding is used to stretch out the hair for styling purposes. Afro hair shrinks when wet....doesn't have to do with growing hair faster.
