wow i havent seen Ultra man since i was around 8 or 9 and that was before anyone had cable in my area. And...it wasnt on a local station ...had to break out the rabbit ears with tin foil...lol.

Yes it's Earthtron and that's Jirass' roar. Great, GREAT commercial. Kimono My House sold these briefly for $29.99 many years ago. Warehouse find, I think. Can you believe it? THIRTY BUCKS!!!

It's BASED on Earthtron, yes, but it's called Battenger. (From "bat," as in baseball bat, because it's a baseball toy monster.)
Tsuburaya did the commercial, BTW. (One of their coolest commercials is for the Hayabusa vacuum cleaner in 1971, where the Ultraman-like "Hayabusa" fights with the dust monster Gomira!)
