@Reqzzzzz When you are in render settings go to output and make it quite large you can always scale it down in Photoshop.

@SirGillez render it as a png with Alpha channel ticked on if you want transparency (you will get a lot of images instead of a video) , then go to After effects (or whatever you use to finalize your videos) and import all the render images as a png sequence :)

By the way, you can also use Tiff. Ping (Png) is the commercial format, but Tiff is EXACTLY the same thing (RGB+Alpha) but its free format. So dont worry guys :)

for all the people having trouble saving it as a .PNG, go down the dropdown bar, and save it as a "quicktime .PNG"

make sure it's only that frame that you want to save checked, and make sure "alpha channel" is checked

There are many output file options that will create alpha channels. Both for stills and animation files. It's simple. Try several formats and use what's best for yourself. Once you get into it properly it's best to learn the "Compositing Tag" capabilities. That'll make your life much easier all round...
