On that note, I get the red ring of death from a patch from microsoft itself. I turn it on, it says it needs to update, so i say ok, and it finished the update and so it turned off. I turn it back on, only to get 3 red rings. 3 RR is classified as a general hardware failure, so the latest patch for the 360 broke my system. I will never buy another 360 as long as I live.

You're right about the disc scratching, and the PS3 runs on 7 cores at 3.2 GHz each while the Xbox 360 runs only 3 cores at 3.2 GHz each and both of these processors are manufactured by the same company, IBM. So the PS3 definitely has more horsepower and looks (in my opinion) a heck of a lot better and more sleeker than the xbox 360 does.
For the Xbox 360, LIVE service is better (which is why you have to pay, ) because the game library is bigger and you can purchase way more movies for it.
