This is just one of those few songs that makes me glad i found out about this band, and this is one of those rare songs that is done a bit better live and rarely nowadays no band does that anymore.

@meddeyc Whatever is a shit album. Favourite Worst Nightmare and Humbug hold a much maturer sound, and it's hard to distinguish any of the songs on the first album from one another.

@meddeyc Oh well done. Pick the two songs on the album that have an obvious difference as one hardly has any drumming, and the other is upbeat like the whole album. And I suppose When The Sun Goes Down, Fake Tales of San Francisco, I Bet You Look Good On The Dancefloor, Red Light Indicates Doors Are Secured and others on the album aren't similar either? All poor attempts of being The Strokes. And yeah, forming my own opinion different to your one makes me an idiot. Good one.

this song is beautiful. i love the lyrics and 1:46-2:04 is genius.

i was so wrong about this album. i used to not like it, but once i really listened instead of judging it, i realized how good this album is and i think im gonna buy it. thay just have changed so much i was suprised at how much they have matured and changed. i was so used to thier indie rock and post-punk revival i never gave the "humbug" in them a chance.

I like the lyrics a lot. I think the songs about guys who hit on your girl even when she's right by you.. hence "all the fools on parade frolic and fuck about to make her gaze and turn to a scribble on a page by her picture but you're daft to think she'd care...all the fools on parade cavort and carry on for waiting eyes, one's she'd rather be beside than infront of, but she's never been one to be hollowed by the stares. " pretty sweet lyrics when you listen :D

For some reason, this song reminds me a lot of "The Only Ones Who Know" (from Favourite Worst Nightmare). Which is odd, because I don't like TOOWK as much as I like this song.
