I think that that was deliberate. It's called "Odd Man Out" humor, a common technique among comedy quartets (think Pookie of FRED, for instance), and apparently this group wanted to try it at the Chorus level.
I'm pretty sure that that was intentional "Odd Man Out"-style comedy choreography. Check out FRED's clips here on YouTube for classic (and hilarious) examples of that (watch the guy on the right, their baritone "Pookie").
when does the youth chorus meet? and is it ever in london? havent managed to sing at all since leaving new zealand.

That was tremendous, except for the gent front row on the left. I assume he was dismissed shortly after.
