I am the direct descendent of Jeong Mongju, his 22nd generation. I memorized this poem by heart :-) This scene is so personal for me and my family. The Yi family made sure that Joseon was founded in BLOODSHED, therefore the Yi family foreshadowed their own pitiful bloody end. What goes around comes around.

LOL. sorry to burst your bubble, but most people in Korea acquired their noble lineage with money with the rise of the middle-class in the 18th century. So you are more likely to be a descendant of some commoner or even a slave who made it big...

And even if you are a direct descendant of some great historical figure, it's not much of a big deal.. after 22 generations, tens of thousands of people could probably claim lineage from 정몽주 as well.
