  • i loved this song as a child and now my children get a kick out of it. funny thing tho, they love your videos best. my 3yr old daughter tries to even sing along. Kudos to u. you did well with this song to the point me and my family give u a standing ovation!

  • You have an excellent voice! That's one of my favorite songs too, always good to see a new face singing it :)

  • Very nice. You really seem to be enjoying the song :-)

  • This is sooo cute :D

  • Well done.

  • Nice voice, niwork!

  • a bit of fun, nice and casual

  • i love this song because i sing this song at school @ psa

  • Lips don't match the vid, but that's a tech detail. Listen to the Bing song - besides not having the Williams brothers backing him up, he alters it slightly in the talky parts.

I salute this Bing Crosby impression. Perfection - and I 'do' Sinatra. (search "Robert Heart")

  • very good mate, wish i could sing.

when i sing it like a cross between a fog horn and a dying cat!

thanks fon the listening plesure :]

  • i had to learn this song w/ my boring english teacher

    ..... :D

  • I had to sing this at my 5th grade promotion

  • O_o there is no way he is lip syncing! I watched this whoile video like three times, and not a single time were his lips out of sync with the words.. btw great job, you have an amazing voice!! =D

  • Lip Syncing! I have to say you are so wrong. I have had the priviledge of hearing this Wonderful Man sing in person. He has been singing for sometime now. I have listened to this man sing since college. So for you to say these things about him and attack his character. You Need to know whom you speak of before speaking against them.

  • I've just watched a stack of this fellas vids, and whilst I think their amusing, surely you all realise that he's not actually singing. HE'S LIP SYNCING PEOPLE!!! The tone of his voice changes from artist to artist! Not that I mind, good on you compcarp, it's all good fun, but I cannot believe how many people post comments saying how much they like 'your' voice. Hilarious, it really is. Well done :D

  • Well, I'll take this as a compliment. It's all me. I set up the camera, sing, port to my PC and upload to YouTube. No one else is singing but me and any backup singers on the soundtrack.

  • Nonsense. Come on mate, you sync REALLY well in the other clips, but this one is a dead giveaway. At 0.16 when you start to say 'and...' your noticeably ahead of the music. Like I said, kudos for doing such a convincing job, I think it's brilliant, but chalk me down in the 'not fooled' list. :)

  • who do you think he's copying? bing crosby sounds very little like him! he's good, get a life, your voice probably sucks

  • That is indeed my uncle's voice.

  • that is so pretty. you are as cute with a beard as without

  • you singing good

    great song

  • great singing amazing hey do u know what tv show this song was on?

  • This song was featured in the most excellent movie "Going My Way" (1944) Starring Bing Crosby and Barry Fitzgerald. Its one of my favourite movies from when I was a kid.

Compcarp you do a fine job on this song!

You should try singing the song "My Darling Irish Girl" that Sean Connery sang in Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

  • well I know this song was used in many moves but it was also the opening theme to a tv about a young girl who was a alien or something and her father was like a talking crystal xD

  • Ranger01 Barry Fitzgerald was in this movie??? HE IS MY FAVORITE GHOST HUNTER ON GHI!!! what a coincidence! hahahha! OMGOD! I am on the floor laughing!

  • omg my favorite song and you sing it so exelent

  • Take a Bow!!!! I am aplauding you!! BRAVO!!!

  • I love how you are very comfortable singing this song to do those hilarious your facial expressions and gestures. :) This song is a personal favorite of mine and I am so happy that you sang it!

    Todd <><

  • but great singing anyway! ;)

  • You have a nice singing voice! U sound exactly like Bing Crosby! ;)

  • I was definately hearing his voice when I sang this.

  • Hey! WOW! I thought for a minute there I heard Bing Crosby!;D

Great voice, with a notable sort of Irish timber and lilt to it!:)

  • You have a nice voice. :)

  • I came to your site to see the merenge from my blue heaven, just for fun clicked on this song and you are awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THANK YOU!

(and I love that movie and song, too!) <><

  • wow... just by watching your videos, I can imagine that you`re a great person, funny and still gentleman-like.. and you can sing :) wow.. just wow!

  • I've been watching everything you've got, Todd, can't stop myself now. I hope you add new things often - so far almost every single song you've got has been a favorite of mine for a long time. Sorry I have nothing here to offer in return yet, but you could look me up by my full name, Alice C. Bateman, I've got a lot of my work online {I'm a writer}. Thank you so much for this evening's enjoyment, I'll be back to listen to you as often as I can. :-)

  • It's great to make your aquaintance! I browsed through your websites - and I'm impressed. May God bless you greatly. I'll try to read on of your books on-line soon. In the meantime, check out my personal site at singlechristianguy . com (the photos need updating.)

  • Well, as Gramma CompCarp used to say, "If you don't have anything nice to say... don't say anything at all."

Or as somone else said, "True freedom isn't the ability to do what you want... but to do what you ought."

  • Truly a taste of greatness! Your vids are so much fun, but always the best when you talk to us, encourage the singles, and say good-night. Reminds me of the old Dolly show when she used to close with I Will Always Love You and then say good night. BTW, where did you get the retro microphone?

  • I think I found that mic at a garage sale - you never know what you'll find (like the Candelabra from "Something Stupid"). I'm a pack rat - so I'm always looking for odd things here and there.

  • Dude, awesome singing!

I've been listening to your repertoire and this by far is your best! You sound so much better singing songs that are made for baritone singers. Singers like Bing Crosby, Robert Goulet, Bobby Darin, Andy Williams, or maybe Vic Damone, I think, would suit you very well.

Keep it up. I enjoy your videos ^_^

By the way, would you mind singing Rober Goulet's version of "If Ever I Would Leave You"? I think it would sound great with your voice.

  • Did I also register a hint of Dean Martin too?

  • That's entirely possible. I listen to him quite a bit.

  • Nevertheless - great work!!

  • Todd, once again you are a showstopper. I don't know what you're doing designing web pages or chasing ghosts. . .though those things are fun and noble. You should be sharing your gift with the world, as you are here. You are amazing!

  • We all do what we can... and have to!

    ...and thank you! <><

  • Your awesome!

  • You're generous!
