  • 1st English song in bolly?

  • @cswao19 - No, to my knowledge, this is much older.

"75 Years Old English Song - Indian Hindi Cinema - Duniya Na Maane [1937] Shanta Apte"

    [watch?v=6H1CReM_Qrw]

  • Kim Kardashian - the Early Years.

  • The main actrees in Laxmi but the young girl who played her younger sister is SRIDEVI

  • Heart touching song m like ever this song

  • Is the brother strumming an electric guitar? LOL!

  • SHE IS NOT SRIDEVI, SHE IS LAXMI

  • @yuanyuanyuanyin sri devi was acting since she was 5. You could see her asa small child in films like Nam naadu ( tamil version of APNA DESH}. so this is not her first film, definetly

  • @sungdichippa - You are absolutely correct, my friend. What I meant was "Julie" [1975] was her first Hindi film.

Her debut as a child actor was Kandhan Karunai (1967), a Tamil movie.

Her first Malayalam movies was Kumara Sambavam (1969).

Her first Telugu movies was Bhaarya biddalu (1971).

I got these information from Wikipedia.

    Thank you.

  • another memorable remake from malayalam.

  • Laxmi is the sis of sri devi...

  • No my friend, that is incorrect.

They are not related though they both were from South India.

    Thank you.

  • @098765432dodo yes she was sis in the movie..

  • yuanyuanyuanyin u re back :)

  • Yes my friend, I am back after a long 6 months, this time.

Happy to be back with my "old friends" at You Tube.

    Take care.

  • Beautiful n beautiful......thats it.

  • Raqib.. I don't understand why you post offensive stuff here. as a Muslim, you shoud know that if you cause someone to curse your God/religion, it is as if you have have done so yourself. This is in the holy Qur'an. I know because I am a Muslim. If you cannot post anything good, then just don't post anything.

  • A lot of fond memories of this song, the movie and the times.. I was a young boy then in Guyana and these songs and movies took us into another world where everythig had a fairy tale ending. So it may not be realistic, but we loved it nonetheless and besides, it was good entertainment.

  • look the expression of that old buddy dancing with awful actress .lol

  • is thaat gurl name

    preeti sagar ..?

  • Preeti Sagar is the singer. Laxmi is the actress.

  • Excellant song......love to listen again & again

  • i love!!!!!!!! long naturel hair, untouched by hairdresser!!!.

  • niksaturn,

Oh, btw, is this desi-Hindu Bhajan is

    derived from Saraswati-Krishna raag

    Nanda ??

  • niksaturn,

hidding behind ur complex- infested Indian browni-Englishood, precipitatingly showing deep ignorance of music, u really thought, this song was in your

Tamil or hindi longo ? The song seems to

imitate your origins, u have the right to

    possess other identities than those

dedicated to u, keeping in mind your staunch belief in re-incarnation,

    vous avez l'embarras du choix

    remember,

music must never be recognized by its

    socio-political origins.

  • I remember my parents slow dancing to this song when I was a child...brings back fond memories.

  • niksaturn,

pls. use punctuations correctly, thought u understood three languages, atleast !! ur replies are boring to death & lifeless, u keep on repeating the same old love-hate

dialogues ! btw, u r not distributing love and peace either ! The hate factory is

in Indian media run by politicians, &

used cleverly by RAW, send them ur

flowers and love-Peace craps ! I am yawning at ur reply, will now watch

    Lata's beautiful C.Ramchandra's

composed song on yuanyuan's list. bye

  • Raqib, I have no choice but to repeat the same words because you don't seem to understand that this particular song is a romantic, English song which is not for you. You first need to learn English from scratch.

Ok go and listen to LM's song. It will be in Hindi and you should be able to understand most of the words. Note down the words you dont understand and then ask someone.

  • its is not a boring song...i love it...my heart is beating

  • Thanks for coming back so soon !!

it seems u have difficulty in even " understanding " English, while shifting to any other langauges won't help, I

offered you, two best Urdu " Kahawats" to

be honoured being dedicated to u,

    mais, malheureusement, je suis désolé

    de constaté votre incapacité d'avoir

apprècier touts mes efforts pour vous

convaincre que le monde est a l'envers chez vous, monsieur !

Kia apke yahan ganga ulti behti he ?

  • Raqib, between Bhains and Gadha I dont which one you prefer to be called. But, I would rather call you a hateful human who neither understands a single language very well nor who appreciates music.

  • niksaturn,

I seriously doubt about your language

    difffereciating faculties, may be ageing

    factor, you can'nt differenciate between

English and Indian Pinglish. You better take some audition lessons of English

pronunciation, why don't u try to

"appriciate " music, In the meantime,

try to get the following translated :

" Bhains ke agay been bajanah"

" Gadha kia janay zafran ki qadr " and come back soon !

  • Calling yourself Bhains and Gadha are just excuses. You dont need to be apologetic. Its ok if you dont understand English. You can communicate in Urdu. I dont mind.

  • niksaturn, I never thought you would give up so soon, anyway the music is no more existing in your temples, Bal Thakuray's

love-distributing Bhajans interests nobody, but you seem more attracted by " Mullah's fatwas ",only in ur fantasm.

I suggest you should concentrate more on music quality rather than your fantasmic imaginatuions with varieties of distinctive Islamophobia favouritism shown on different blogs, reflecting your obvious choices. merci

  • Raqib, this is an English song and since you cannot write a single sentence correctly I dont expect you would understand this song, let alone the appreciate the music. So don't even try. LOL.

  • niksaturn,

were you the producer of this film ? in case of affirmation, you know what is

    waiting for u ?

  • niksturn,

how ignorant of you, ugly kamasutra-failed

    stoned, nose-blocked, donkey-voiced,

Bhajan singer in your Mughal period built

Brahman museums dwellings of your naked Ugly mongoloides Gods.

Btw, do u know any music at all ??

  • Raqib, people filled with hate from top to bottom cannot appreciate romantic songs. That's why no one cares about your opinion. You can best use your time commenting on the jingoistic braying of mullahs while issuing fatwas...you probably find that soothing to your nerves. Hehe.

  • the melody and poetry is total bordum

but who said the lady is not cute, ?

    perhaps she missed rendez-vous with

    her hairdresser recently !!

  • You mean " Hanuman kia janay adrak

    ka sawad, what peanuts !!

  • You will be better off head banging to the hoarse cries of belligerent mullahs in your madrassa. Melodious music is not for you.

  • she is beautifulllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll,,

  • what total bordum this song

  • Bandar kya jaane adrakh ka swaad?

  • shes so cute

  • cute song

  • So this is what Lakshmi did before her Kannada cinema stint??

  • Not really.

"She became a star in South India in the 1970s and acted in all four South Indian languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada. Her Malayalam hit Chattakari (1974) was remade in Hindi as Julie (1975) and in Telugu as "Miss Julie Prema Katha" (1975)", according to Wikipedia.

That means, she had been acting in South Indian movies even before Julie was made!

  • Well. But the comments had some other connotations as well!!!

  • When all the other singers sang English with an Indian accent (and I'm not saying that's bad!), Preeti Sagar sang this with nary a hit of a vernacular accent.

    Thanks for uploading.

  • You are most welcome.

  • Can you notice that teenage baby? (julies' younger sis in the movie)

    She is SRIDEVI!

  • Yes, you are very correct. In fact, it is written there on top [right] at the description section. Thanks for the comment.

  • these actor hulchal ki olc nani hai kareena ki

  • I almost forgot this song! thanks for putting it up!

  • You are most welcome.

  • i saw this movie... the message of the trama is very nice, is about tolerance....

    just luv it...
