I want the right to work FOR LESS! I wish to be a slave and I can't wait to go back to the days when workers had no rights. People like Bosma created the problem so that wimpy Americans like me would get on their knees and say pleeeze massa give me a job, I'll work for less after all Indian needs and deserves less. Help speaker Brian Bosma. He's sure he's as un-American as he can be but sounds like a massa a golly aren't we all ready to slaves again. God bless Reagan and God bless slavery!
@DrDangDOGGone Actually no, it gives other people a right to work as well, without having to pay union fees, so if they are actually working harder then you they can make more then you. You'll be making less if you decide to be a lazy fuck, but if you actually put in some effort you can be competitive, make more, and provide a better future for your children. After all isn't prosperity the American dream.
brian your focusing on the wrong subject, and if it does pass people will make sure non of your republican party members will be in office for the next election!
@choosemosaic- Maybe you don't understand that there is a world of difference between a small business like yours and multi-billion dollar corporations who have hundreds of thousands of employees.
Bring more jobs to Indiana??? BS to the fullest. Should read " Help bring more low paying jobs to Indiana. If RTW happens to pass everyone better hope it brings more jobs to Indiana because you will need to work 2 jobs to make the wages your making now.
Right to work endangers safety and health standards that protect workers on the job by weakening unions that help to ensure worker safety by fighting for tougher safety rules.
Disgusting, 100% fact free ad. If you really want wives of unemployed vets to stop weeping, why don't you GIVE them a job? And Hoosiers need freedom--to what, become indentured servants? The Orwellian twisting of language is intolerable; War is Peace Freedom is Slavery Ignorance is Strength; who knew Orwell was talking about the American Republican party?
If "we need to remove every barrier to job creation", then why aren't they forcing American companies to keep their companies jobs in the United States? If they would never have allowed these companies to move their production out, we wouldn't be in the position we are currently in. The politicians have failed at their jobs by destroying what was once a great nation. They should be the ones unemployed.
@TheLDSwing - It's obvious you don't understand how business works. The jobs belong to the employer - not the employee or the government. Business owners, especially small business owners like myself, have invested everything they have to put food on their tables and if there is enough profit left over, hire employees and put food on their tables. At the end of the day, if unions and government regulation take "profit" out of the picture - I'm going to take my investment elsewhere.
Of course it will bring more work because it will bring down the wages of working Hoosiers along with benefits and the safety standard men and women have died for so we have a better chance of coming home to our families SAFELY. With cuts like that the I'm sure more people will want to come here with there business because they don't have to have any standards what so ever. Right to work will destroy lives. You are wrong for pushing this bill because it's just another feather in your cap to you
Right to Work = Lower wages. There is NO EVIDENCE that such bills create more jobs in any of the other 22 states. The SOLE PURPOSE of this bill is to destroy unions. How? The bill allows for employees to work in union jobs without paying union dues while requiring the union to represent them. You cut the funding for unions how can they represent anyone? The Republicans in Indiana are pushing this despite the fact that overwhelming evidence suggest Hoosiers don't want it. Why?

The average worker in a right to work state makes about $5,333 a year less than workers in other states ($35,500 compared with $30,167).
Right to work states have a poverty rate of 12.5 percent, compared with 10.2 percent in other states.
21 percent more people lack health insurance in right to work states compared to
free-bargaining states.
Renamed to be "Right-to-work-for-less."
