With the exception of the spring, almost all of these are original creations. As for the type of deck being used, it doesn't really matter as long as the cards aren't too old - any pack of 52 poker-sized cards will do.

Thanks! I use Aladdins because they're really solid for cuts, and of an appropriate toughness so that if I can learn how to use them, I'm pretty much set for any other deck that comes my way.

It's still just a matter of personal preference, though, so do play around with as many decks as you can until you find one that suits you just right.
