  • ELVIS MAN, PLEASE COMEBACK. JUST COMEBACK MAN, WE NEED YOU MORE THAN EVER MAN...

  • Alright everyone lets all try to get along and there isn't any politics discussed in my channel or they will be deleted. Elvis respected everyone. So please lets keep our discussions on his music and his charities.

  • @cavalierfan, actually the Beach Boys beat him to it by a few years. Their "Party" album, although recorded in a studio, was the Beach Boys with Jan and Dean, plus Glen Campbell on bass, all playing acoustic instruments and singing live. Many friends and wives were there too singing along. It sounds a lot like this Elvis show. Barbara Ann is the big single from this LP, but it's a whole album of that stuff, complete with false starts, joking around, etc. Check it out.

  • Big props to the great Scotty Moore. One of the most influential guitar players ever.

  • i was born in 1984 but i love him soooo much, my mum was a big fan n i grew up listening to him....he is fuckin gorgeous i would give anything to of been around when he was....

  • i wish i was around in the 60's...I'm 27 and thanks to my mum i love Elvis, he was such a funny, charismatic, TALENTED artist, long live the King.

  • you can say elvis was the first unplugged artist

  • E. was scared shitless for his seemingly faded career at this point. He had somthin to prove and he DID it like no other b4 or since. viva elvis long live the king of rock n rollllllllll

  • 5 dislikes? Wtf come on it doesn't get any better!!!

  • Elvis always was a rocking soul got he was great

  • it clearly shows he can play the guitar and have the funk with it too not like most so called artists today

  • Colonel Tom Parker was one mo fo SOB for the way he treated Elvis!

  • if elvis, clint eastwood and bill murray where in the same room the universe would implode because of the coolness

  • I love this you could really feel the bond between the musicians and their love for it and their raw talent. Something you never see nowadays. This my friends were the days

  • love this special so sad that it was his last show 

  • @littletigger52 How was it his last show? It was his FIRST show since 1961...he did shows all throughout the 70s until his death.

  • You can tell all those girls are giggling like crazy 'cause they're so excited about Elvis Presley being so close to them. =D

  • back then ther was no tech making u sound better thts pure singing from he sole ill bet out no1 s got better voice and sole thn him in our life time thts for sue

  • This isn't MTV Unplugged. This is EP Unplugged. And it's awesome.

  • this was originaly supposed to be a christmas special with special guests, cheesey christmas numbers and lame jokes. In one of the few times he put his foot down with parker, elvis decided to do it this way. BEST MOVE EVER!!!

  • I don't think anyone ever had more charisma than Elvis did right here.

  • @strategery101 OMG charisma is exactly the right word. Charisma, charm, he had it all. THE KING LIVES.

  • Elvis Presley is the best there is, the best there was, and the best there ever will be!

  • elvis saw The Doors tv performance on the Ed Sullivan Show playing Light My Fire in september 67, Jim Morrison wearing leather, that's when he decided to wear leather too on Special Come Back 68, i've read.

  • Part 2 and 3 are blocked to portugal :'(

  • what a singer what a performer he slowly draws you in absolutely love ELVIS

  • Scotty Moore listened to my CD and loved it!! How cool is that?

  • isn't it amazing elvis only gets 90,000 views but yet chris Issak gets 15 million what the hell is goin on. Dont get me wrong christ Issak is amazing but ELVIS is the king>!!!!

  • @jim301288 More would watch, but there is SO much out there!

  • im 14 and elvis is the best and always will be

  • Elvis really had a natural way with the guitar, this was amazing. Can you believe this was in 68?? I'm sure this was big news the next day! What a legend!

  • Haha, when he started "Weh-hella" I was sure he was gonna do Buddy Holly's "Rave On"...

  • wtf why has it been adited were he says about the first song thats all right mamma ???

  • SOOOO MUUCHHH SOOOUUULLLLL.

  • A música é contagiante

  • što bi dala da sam mogla biti ovdje..just beautiful <3

  • Scotty Moore was great! Damn, Elvis was coooooool!

  • mtv unplugged via 1968

  • I can't stand how my brother and his friends don't like Elvis. They're just blind mainstreamers though. Elvis rules!

  • @fieryhand Who doesn't like Elvis? Elvis is the king, his music is always played on the radio at Christmas time. I'm 17 and I love Elvis, my room is decorated Elvis.

  • @MichaelDiPrima

I have a shelf in my room with 2 12" Elvis statuettes, a singing novelty fish with "Don't Be Cruel" and "All Shook Up", an Elvis 1968 Comeback bobblehead, and a few CD's. (Elvis Greatest Hits, 1968 Comeback Special, Afternoon In The Garden, and a CD with 3 patriotic songs)

  • @fieryhand i would never trust anyone who does not like elvis. they must be commie leftwing liberal rats!

  • @hetjaar

All they love is Rihanna, Eminem, Little Wang, and other crap. What happened to talent????

  • @fieryhand There is Beyonce, Jenifer Hudson, Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga, Alicia Keys, Fergie from the Black eye peas. Yes Lady Gaga is flamboyant but so was Elivis in his day. As for male Jay Z and Kanye west, R- Kelly, Chris Brown, and Will I am make great R&B music and produce for other artist. You said talent all these artist are singers, song wrighters or produce there and play there own music. Prince is another example. And Micheal Jackson who passed away in 08 had all there talents combined

  • @hetjaar Oh shut up! If you knew anything about Elivis you would know most of the things he did and supported was so called "left" wing. He was for the civil rights movement, supported the advancement of "colored" being able to eat at "Whites" only places and never said he was for or against the war. However his wife later said as the war went on he was against it. And trust me there more right wing nuts that didnt like Elivis because they thought he moved and dance black. So you got it backward

  • I wish I could've seen him, he died way too young

  • elvis was the fuckin man!!

  • There is only one K.I.N.G

  • you really got to stop and wonder what elvis could have accomplished if he hadn't had Parker thinking for him. so many of Parker's decisions were just plain dumb! firing Scotty Moore and company is just one of the most obvious examples of that!

  • who is that pinky waggin dude at the start of the video?

  • Nunca mais haverá artista como Elvis.

  • I never realised Elvis talked like Matthew Mcgougherny or whatever the fuck.

  • Seems like a regular sorta fella. Shy, charming outgoing. He could play guitar prit damn good too

  • toujours tres bonne chanson souvenire ! le roi retse le ROI!ELVIS

  • I recall watching this in 1968, and I still don't understand why they had to put Elvis' little suck-up, Charlie Hodge, on stage for this. He damn near ruined it.

  • comeback, never needed ! he was the king, and forever will be the king of good quality, apolitical entertainment ! god be with you elvis. my videos are better. my videos rock.

  • fuck yes

  • This is very MTV Unplugged!! Luv it

  • he's a wise ass! lol i love it!

  • Today, they try to be cool, they are looking for something special to sucseed. It was the best show in Elvis' career, he is the coolness itself. Never ever befor or after heimself or somebody else was a greater performer. Elvis forever - forget the rest!!!

  • Happy Birthday Elvis!

  • I love you Elvis! Happy Birthday!

  • Maybe its strange but right now i remember NIRVANA mtv unpluged

  • Grazie per aver messo questi video meravigliosi. Elvis era ed è un grande. Qui al meglio.

Thank you for posting this magnificant serie of Elvis live, here at the best. He was and he is the Great Elvis!

  • Grazie per aver messo questi video meravigliosi. Elvis era ed è un grande. Qui al meglio.

Thank you for posting this magnificant serie of Elvis live, here at the best. He was and he is the Great Elvis!

  • This Elvis 14 years into his career - think about other artists at 14 years into their careers. The Beatles as great as they were never even made it 14 years, Led Zeppelin never made it 14 years, Keith moon was dead 14 years into The Who's career, and the Stones were already a greatest hits act 14 years into their career. This is a display of a vital, dynamic performer choppin' at the bit to showcase his enormous talent. This special is the epitome of why Elvis is indeed The King of Rock.

  • @johnysavs AMEN!!

  • @johnysavs yes my man, YOU GOT IT

  • @johnysavs Well said. They don't call hm the king for nothing :)

  • O Elvis é pioneiro em muita coisa, observe ele dançando e descobrirá onde o Michael Jackson se inspirou

  • Essa é provavelmente a primeira gravação acústica de que se tem notícias

  • Uma raridade esse vídeo

  • it's a shame bill black passed away before they had this reunion, it would have been awesome to him slap that bass with elvis and scotty like back in the 50's

  • I'm watching this and I just thought.."WHAT HAPPENED TO MUSIC?!" Elvis was one extremely talented singer

  • could not get any better - music I mean - this is the source

  • elvis proves in the 68 comeback that he was the king he shows the world how to rock artist today should watch and learn how to do it this is real rock

  • the greatest show ever

  • I wish Scotty stuck around in the 70's, he had that Elvis sound

  • finest mothaf...

  • no no elvis was pretty damn hot

  • like that sound of the electric guitar

  • This is Elvis at his best. He was R&B from the start and it's a wonder the studio didn't burn down with this performance. He had it all.

  • I adore this man - what more can I say? I can never get enough of his incredible voice, his unbelievable beauty, his amazing charisma and sex appeal, his charming personality, his endearing sense of humour...

"Come here, baby", he says to the microphone. Indeed!!! ;-)

  • I really like this. I agree that this really shows that he's a pretty good performer.

  • Elvis is not dead...he just went back to his home planet....no human is capable of this kind of greatness!

  • Elvis bez prądu!!!

  • Read the Greil Marcus book, "Mystery Train". In it he writes about the TV special as Elvis' one chance to reclaim what was once his,"...he'd been a joke for a long time."

It's true. On this show he made music that even surpassed his original renditions recorded at Sun Studios. Astonishing.

  • @missionrd100 It's a shame he wasted soo much of the dacade with such stupid movies. However, he came back with one heck of a concert!!

  • the one and only king

  • This special really gets good in parts 3, 4, and 5. Elvis is kind of a funny performer. I haven't heard or seen that much of him. He does something throughout the performance that keeps steadily building. In a five minute segment or one song you don't quite get what he does. It's over time it starts to unfold and build intensity. Sort of like some kind of spiritual upheaval. I know it sounds trite but it's the best way I can describe it. I have to say he's pretty impressive as a performer.

  • @surfmcgoogler Not trite at all just the truth. Elvis was very special. I wasn't a fanatical fan back then, I was more of a Beatles man but now that I'm more mature I can see his magic. I can understand his huge audience of fanatical fans with their little shrines to Elvis and their yearly pilgrimages to Grace lands.

  • @surfmcgoogler The story of this special, its history, why it was made, and how it was organized is interesting. Elvis had only done movies for quite a while and was concerned that he wouldn't be successful doing live shows anymore. But as the show progressed, he got more confidence in himself. That's what you saw building during the show. Good observation. Some one else observed that this was Elvis at his absolute best. I agree. This seems to be the real Elvis.

  • 0 DISLIKES. THAT'S RIGHT! BC ELVIS WAS GOD!

  • @johnnydarkly because you said that someone disliked it haha.

  • @johnnydarkly ..Uhh look again you idiot.

  • @johnnydarkly 3 asses disliked :-(

  • This was a great performance! I miss you Elvis.

  • I'm not a big fan of Elvis, but this show is really fantastic. This is a great moment

  • This was true Elvis .. never better

  • why does elvis sound so raspy here? or was he trying to on purpose to sound like the current music of 68?

  • @louiscaponecchia That's what I love about this set, he sings in a rock-esque fashion. such energy.

  • nice to see Elvis the musician without the Vegas gold lame and all the rest of his late career silliness. he could rock.

  • elvis lo mas grande

  • Still the king .

  • najjaci jebac ikad

  • elvis was pretty damn cool.

  • @76sagi He's the coolest guy in the world
