The writers have stated "Ben is kind of like Snape"

which seems to tell me that it looks like he is bad, but (possibly) he is actually good?

Or that the betrayal/killing of Jacob was a setup and all part of a predetermined plan.

I always liked Ben when he was the solid scheming backstabber. But in this episode, moreso than any other, he is reduced to a henchman. I'm wondering how he will be in Season 6, and whether or not he will actually admire Locke for killing Jacob (not knowing, of course, that Locke is Jacob's Loophole friend).

I'm guessing that the mental gears are still turning for Ben. He's always one step ahead.

Michael Emerson IS the man! No one could have played Ben like he did and the world is a better place for it. I'm not sure he should win this year since I think he was stronger last season, but he absolutely should be considered for a nomination. Although that last scene could be his Emmy clip since it was AWESOME!
