  • No, I noticed and I like that you don't use the Stormdog exploit either. :)

  • That is easy solved by giving them the possibility to fly, poppers explosion stay on the ground and the grapplers have an extended range. Be prepared to sacrifice uour androids for this and in realtime alwayd throw a stun grenade before they die. Standing on the corpse with an agent prohibits them from getting up again. Also ig you are short on cash, raiding megapol using only stun grapples is a viable option, but kinda tough. you need to stun all enemies and stand on the corpses so you win wit

  • @xkraelx That is considered a pretty bad exploit and I don't do it. :p

  • Two androids own group double stun grapple = free shields :) that is how I solve that, live poppers and live multiworm.

  • @xkraelx I always seem to be very unlucky as far as that strategy goes. My androids always get either shot up or can't stun the enemies in time before they explode. :p

And what aliens do we need to study already in order to have the C-Toxin ? Psimorphs, Megaspawns and Micronoids, right ? Keep on the good work, man !

  • @KethamBodds We still have the fast attack ship to take care of. So, hopefully, we'll be able to get some shields there. We won't see any annihilators for a while still. :p And yes, we need all those three for toxin-C. But toxin-B is quite good as well!

  • 2:45 Those aren't Bombers, those are Destroyers, Ufo type 5. Bombers are green and are ufo type 7. They also contain Micronoids. Just thought I point that out. Also, Destroyers can offload, but if there the main attacking ship like this time, then there won't be any offloads, they'll just attack buildings. That's the same principle if Bombers were the main attack ship. However, they can't offload ever.

  • @MetalCanyon It's alright they're all organic and are hard to remember unlike the first two games. I've just played this game enough times to remember all UFOs :)

  • @MetalCanyon I couldn't remember the name, either. :-) All I recalled was that they weren't bombers. Bombers scare me enough for me to remember them. They can destroy a base.

  • @344512 @MetalCanyon It's really important to keep Destroyers and Bombers from attacking any base under slum buildings. Slums are very fragile, and you know what happens if the building above a base is destroyed. Your approach of having your craft in the air already, to intercept, may be all you need. You must shoot them down before they get close.

  • I was thinking to say the same thing but I saw that birgoth wrote it while I was watching the video :) those disruptor cannons are ripping through the shields. where the hell are those toxiguns we've got some lazy engineers :D

  • @Mefatu78 Yeah, if we had some toxiguns with toxins ready, it'd be a cake walk. The reason I really want a shield specimen now is because the research takes so long.

  • I used to mind control aliens and make them throw their shield at my agents. Absolutly best way to make sure they don't get destroyed. Works with weapons too.

  • @birgoth86 Good suggestion. I'll try to do that in the next part. I think I should've been more careful with all those devastator shots as well. Seems that, even though the aliens fell asleep, the barrage of devastators destroyed their shields before they could fall to the ground.

  • @MetalCanyon Don't worry about shots destroying gear. Yes, in real life that would happen. In game, only explosions destroy dropped gear, and as soon as the alien dies, the game counts it as dropped. Just make sure you manufacture both toxiguns and toxin ammo. Even Toxin A is good enough to capture a shield and allow research on it.

  • 10:22 Friendly fire isn't very friendly. 16:08 That was a ridiculous amount of crossfire. Yeesh. 17:45 That's unfortunate. They must have all been destroyed either by our agents, or the Vortex Mine/Boomeroid explosions. Wow, that sucks. Still no shields. I think your best bet would be to get people to be able to get close and stun them with stun grapples. Either that, or hire on some "temporary" personnel, equip them with stun grapples and a bit of spare armor, and have them kamikaze stun them.

  • @Amainville93 16:08 I know, right? :p 17:45 Yeah, too much devastator fire. I'll try Birgoth's suggestion and mind control them. If that doesn't work, I'll try to be more careful and stun them without shooting at them. We'll see!

  • I'd hate to suggest this, but I think that it would be for the best that, when an X-COM agent dies, they stay dead, and a new one gets named, rather than the old one being re-recruited. With as many applicants as you are getting, and the amount of cash at your disposal, I think that might be the best solution.

  • @Amainville93 That's how it was from the very beginning, mate. :p None of the dead agents have yet returned because they're put right at the back of the list. :)

  • @MetalCanyon The main point I was trying to make was that at the end of this, just make that list into a KIA file, a file detailling who died.
