I'm not sure I agree that we're in iraq because of oil. A lot of people, well spoken and educated, feel this way, but I am not convinced at the present time. However, I do agree that generated our power locally in a dectranlized manner is bold and enduring. It's a very forward looking direction. For example, instead of building centralized solar thermal power plants in pristine wildlife sancturies, we could instead focus our policy on putting solar power on our roofs - use our land effectively.
