Such a long time ago I can hardly remember. I have a felling it was more the pilot getting confused! These were some of my first loops so they had a habit of going wrong!
Hi there. The feathering shaft is the shaft that holds the main blade grips together. Its designed to break in a crash to save other parts. Very cheap to replace.
haha thanks! Syre did loop the Belt. Its a great heli to start with. Im thinking of rebuilding my old one to sell. So might try getting some video with it before selling.
Are they 15C mate? Ineed some better batteries for my belt cp, its now in a bell 222 fuselage but im finding that 20c lipos do not agree with the esc i have in it. It keeps cutting out but 15C batteries work fine :)
I hate that final crash sound, like breaking babies fingers (not that I would know what that sounds like) but you know, when you spend all that time getting it juuust right then $£^&*&^*£" D'oh!
I get disorientated at altitude and end up Wrong sticking it into the deck )c:
I just wrecked my Belt CP yesterday. I was doing 540 turn stalls in idle-up for the first time and many distractors including my cell phone, with alerts set on vibrate, went off and caused my attention to jump away from me.
I was too stressed all day yesterday and shouldn't have even gone out period, so now I have some nice relaxing repair work ahead of me.
Ahh been there many times my friend! Repairing is all part of the fun. Hindsight is a wonderful thing, you always know you shouldn't have flown _after_ the crash!
I honestly dont know! It looks like I overcooked it. In the original video you can see I do one loop but keep on pulling back on the elevator and she ends up doing 2 and a bit flips before hitting the group!
Bummer. happened to me to. Have you ever had issues with the Esky ESC? Im changing mine to Align as the ESky ESC keeps cutting the power! 3 different Esky ESC's have been used and all have failed in the Belt.
tail doesn't seem to hold well... but that seems typical of the belt CP... glad you progressed since this vid!

hey, did the Gyro get confused? is that why it spun round when you went inverted?

helipilot94 3 years ago
Usually just main shaft, main gear, feathering shaft and blades.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
what does feathering mean?

ok thanks!

Ouch! Did you ever get to do loops with the belt or did you switch to the TRex-clone before that.
Anyways, your videos are really good material: they show your progress nicely from hover to inverted & loops - gives hope to newbies like myself :-)
Maybe after I'VE flown for over 11 months like AngryBadger... maybe THEN! :-D

You in idle up mate?
iecabus 3 years ago
Yeah I think so, I cant hear the motor slowing down at the top. This was quite some time ago now.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
Shame... what battery was you using mate?
iecabus 3 years ago
My usual LoongMax batteries. Been pretty happy with them. Cant complain for the price and never puffed.

Listed as 20-30C. Perhaps its heat issue? Might but worth upgrading the ESC. I have a Scorpion ESC and Its been pretty flawless.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
Can you tell me the exact one you have mate, so i can get the same one? Cheers.

Check you PM :)
AngryBadger 3 years ago
what was the damage
cat123456789101 3 years ago
It wasnt too bad. The usual suspects, tail boom, main gear, feathering shaft, blades, flybar.

Dude! What happened? Turned it upside down while you have tried the loop?
Haven´t seen or understood why the Belt came down so fast suddenly?!
Although great flying m8

Ive never had issues with mine but Ive heard of others that have. Mind you I do have a separate UBEC so that probably helps.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
An Esky ESC and seperate BEC?
iecabus 3 years ago
Indeed.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
holly shit that was heavy crash man.
what are the casualties?
stratosjoebar 3 years ago
It wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be: Main gear, feathering shaft, blades, frame and rear tail blades.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
you are sooooo good ,well done mate
as for the crash its in the schedule...
stratosjoebar 3 years ago
Ha, don't know about that but thank you for the kind comments.
AngryBadger 3 years ago
mate, and you were doing so well and making it look so easy.
startazz 3 years ago
Cheers mate, its certainly a lot easier then it was when I first started learning!
AngryBadger 3 years ago
so how long have you been flying heli's?is that a 400 or 450 scale heli?thanks for the reply mate.
startazz 3 years ago
Ive had the Belt since February. Its pretty much the same size as a Trex 450.
