I've loved Throat Culture for years. My favorite is "Jack Bates Bail Bonds," which has to be one of the greatest moments of insanity ever committed to CD. St. Louis radio station KDHX used to play the "Acapella Head" CD on their Sunday morning acapella show and we fell in love with the album and group. Do they tour at all now? I'd love to see them perform.
This is my Dad's A capella Band, So I feel very proud that this song is on Youtube, and I'm very proud of the Band itself. Also, if you know the song Toast, that's me about 12 years ago at age 5.
@Miles9305 I think it's really interesting that so many people are watching this video. Not that 7000 views is really a lot, but still, I just uploaded this to share it with my friends, and now I'm apparently getting comments from a relative of the band :) assuming you are who you say you are (youtube is too anonymous for me to really trust EVERYTHING), I'm glad that you're ok with me posting this because it's one of my very favorite songs.
@ZeShroom Hey yeah sorry for this late reply, I've just been complacent, and I haven't checked my emails at all. Yes, I am the son of the bald guy in the band haha. Yeah, it is an awesome song. How'd you learn about Throat Culture btw? I think I might upload all of their songs I have on my Ipod to youtube this summer.
I did't hear the original song but while in a choral festival in Brisbane Australia I heard is sung but Melbourne Hige and it was briliant. Love the song (Plus it's so addicting always in my head). 10/10
Yeah, this song is by Throat Culture, and I am actualy the son of one of the members. My name is Miles Wilburn, and I am actually talking through my little brother's account. On facebook, there is a group called Throat Culture is amazing(created by myself). Throat culture is a columbs based A capella group that range in their song choice from conventional covers to their own stuff. I have here a link to their website if you are further interested.
@jonnybigj yep, Throat Culture, and all of their music is on youtube now. Just go to my channel and you'll see them all on it.
