Love the sound! Had to read over the lyrics a couple times to understand the Boss's message; I can see why some see it as an ironic cop-out on the current state of budget slashing, poverty-bashing, love-the-rich America. But hey... we know Bruce, right? He would never affirm that. Have to believe it's another of his working-class anthems on our behalf... the title is a wish, not a tribute to reality. Rock on, brother! You're an inspiration. Solidarity.

I am not done with Mr. Springsteen. But it's hard not to love somone who wears his heart on his sleeve: and sings like he means it. The magic has always been what U2 also discovered: he does; just like they do.

Springsteen is a genius...a modern day Mozart with a 40 year career unsurpassed by anybody in my opinion. His body of work stands alone like a musical Cistine Chapel. He has provided a social commentary not on American everyday life, but a social comentary on the human condition as a whole everywhere. When Bruce eventually departs this world, they should try to preserve his body in a museum for generations to come and see, because for me there will never be another musical artist to match him.

The single is released in Europe first (many thanks to the European fans who shared), tour seemingly starts in Europe, and the album is released a day earlier in Europe. I love Bruce more than most - I dedicated my senior year of college to studying the man - but it all seems rather ironic. That said, I do love the song on my 4th listen... Just not loving the fake drums.

First off, I cannot believe it is finally here. 3 years and its finally here. I love it, really nice pop-rock song (Bruce pop-rock, the good kind) with a bloody amazing intro! Its the type of song that will be brilliant live. The intro, the chorus. Its really upbeat, and you just know it will be a great opening song to a Springsteen show. Cannot wait for the album, and I cannot wait for the tour!
