look under gallery of instruments /electrics/robins 6 string asap

  • what guitar is it???

  • I just started playing/singing this song last night. I think it's one of the greatest Irish love songs I've heard. You did a very unique and beautiful version of this tune.

  • Hi Robin,

what a wonderful take on beautiful tune ! Everything fits perfectly - your guitar, your voice, the performance.

    Cheers from Lemgo/Germany

    Bernd

  • i herd about you , and agreeeeeee !

    your fairly good alright. * * * * thanks

  • thanks for that , Robin

  • Fairly obvious that you are a professional musician, great guitar and vocals making the song your own (i'm sounding like louis Walsh on x factor) Anyway, the song is a timeless classic that you have done justice to. Does sound a bit like the version by Maurice Dixon (on youtube) buts thats a complement.

  • thanks minstrelbhoy, glad you enjoyed it , i very rarely sing this at gigs as its in a different tuning but it is one of my favorites, Robin

  • is this your own composition?

  • Hi LewNDC , no this is not my own , i wish it was , it was written by Patrick Kavanagh, Robin

  • haha i knew that sorry i said it the wrong way, i mean the music your playing, did you come up with it or did you read tabs?

  • Hi I was kind of wondering as you are irish, ya i made it up its in cgdgbd easy enough to work out from there with the capo wherever suits your voice, Robin

  • Another folk song I've not heard for ages...its a beautiful melody. Lovely version! Really enjoyed listening...

  • Thank you onlineangel , glad you enjoyed it

  • One of my favorite songs, I like the way you made it your own. You did it with feeling, Sir, very good.
