  • I am from belgium myself and quite the beer maniac and i must say you review/taste the beer very well! ( and im a huge pain in the ass when it comes to that so!) Kudos to you sir!

  • Those Belgian brews are pretty much unbeatable. I love that beer. Smoke is great. JOOOEE D. My Tremens had all type of yeasts, malts or whatever was floating...it was great...Hey guys try New York's Ommegang Belgian brews ... they got the Belgian shit down....if u love belgian beeers....yodel lady whoooo

  • Really cool review! Thanks for making it.

  • I got a 330ml of this and a 750ml of La Fin Du Monde to enjoy on the weekened. Looking forward to it. Also looking to try The Delirium Noel

  • DUDE, I love your beer reviews. You have a great ability to engage your audience! You don't throw any curveballs and you reveal the truth about fine beers. Thanks a bunch man! Delirium Tremens is one of my favorite beers in the world!

  • the yeast sediments pops out flavours like raisins on this, Bro !

  • I got the 0,75 l with a cork.

BAM, right up in the ceiling :)

The beer itself is good, easy to drink, thirst quenching, but maybe not quite as tasty as the best trappist beers.

The bottle fermented ales are supposed to be stored upright.

That way the sediment pours last, so you can avoid it.

However i´ll drink the whole bottle :)

  • @nikandraathelvete Great comment. Thanks for all the info and for watching.

  • my mouth is literly watering...

i REALLY want to try this beer!

  • I love the deliriums too, personally prefer Tremens to Nocturnum.

Personally, I get hints of passionfruit from the Tremens.

You really should try out the Trappist Ales, they are really sought after beers everywhere, especially if you can get your hands on Rochefort or Westylevren

  • @Epiglottis also the "floaty stuff" (the bottle fermented yeast) are where all the flavors are at. Although many people said it shouldn't be served, most Belgium beers are supposed to be served with it

  • I'm guessing these type of beers need to be left to settle and poured carefully to avoid so much floaty stuff.

By the way just discovered your reviews and I'm liking your style!

  • I tried it a few days ago and i like it a lot.

  • 100% delicious. This is one of my favourite beers at the moment. Just awesome.

Your video graphics are excellent. Keep up the good work.

  • Thank you so much for watching!

  • I prefer the Delerium Nocturnum one of the best beers I have ever drank. I would suggest next your review Duvel Beer. Thanks and keep up the good work brother.

  • Thank you very much for watching.

  • @cowedbywisdom i agree with you on Nocturnum....cowedbywisdom....Thats a good call my liquor store brrrp no charge, lol says its the #1 belgian as well. I agree it's right up there with Ommegang Abbey or St Bernardus 12 ...

  • I've tried Delirum Tremens(8.5%) & Nocturnum(8.5%) and for the price they are not worth it. I just bought 11.2 oz single bottles and they were very expensive. IMO you can get much better beer and not have to pay an arm and a leg for 11.2 fl oz.

The 8.5% ABV is nice, they tasted very good, not like grain alcohol at all IMO(lots of flavor), but they are to expensive.

  • Thanks for commenting with your thoughts on this beer. It is great to get as much input as possible.

  • hey man,i love your videos^^ you should try a german beer, like augustiner it`s the best german beer :)

  • I will sure try to see if I can find it in my area. Thanks for watching.

  • Nice man, I couldn't avoid laughing while watching this, specially in the smoke part. I had that beer couple of times as I can buy it around here, but I will definitely buy it again soon to give it another try, is not one of those I use to buy very often.

  • It is not a cheap beer so I can understand not buying it that often. Thanks for watching and I am glad you were entertained.

  • Well this one is not really expensive for me, it's in the price range of decent beers. It doesn't have to do so many miles to me as it has to you :P. One expensive beer for me is "Le fin du monde", from Canada, maybe you've heard about it. It's around 3.5 USD here. And one really expensive is "St. Sebastiaan", around 7USD here (from Belgium I think). Maybe you wanna try it. Real ceramic bottle, no imitation (0.5L). Dark and blonde to choose.

  • Thank you so much for those great suggestions.

  • I love your reviews! Keep them coming!! 77PBR

  • Thanks for watching.

  • okay, just thought this was funny....i was drinking a New Belgium "Hoptober" while watching your video, and we had a synchronized burp. Hahaha...guess you had to be there. :)

  • It's ok I understand. Sounds funny to me too.

  • Yeast floating throughout, bitter malts, and a solid alchohol bite. I preffered the nocturnum over the tremens.

  • Thanks for your input.

  • Joe D! That bottle is really cool. Color is really nice on that beer! Really bright white head! Keep it up pal!

  • I sure will Bro. Thanks for stopping by.

  • I'd give Duvel a try

    great review!

  • Thanks for watching.

  • The things floating around is probably yeast.

  • Yep your right. Some one else said that yeast probably got too cold at sometime and it does that.

  • that's a pretty sweet bottle.

  • It is cool huh.

  • love the video recap at the end i think this is your first video with that so i vote for recaps now on very informational

  • I knew someone would say that. I will try to put that in all my video's but no promises ok. Thank you for watching.

  • I'm not a big fan of the Yeasty kind of beers. I've heard so much about this beer and have been wanting to try it, but now I think I can wait. Great review JoeD!

  • Thanks for watching as always Bro!!

  • damn bro...you go to beer college or something?

    =D

  • Haha, No I just love beer and am constantly researching it. Thanks.

  • Hey Joe D would you compare this beer with Duvel, if you have ever tried that beer yet that is.

  • They are both good but I feel like Duvel is a different animal. It is hard to duplicate that Duvel head. Thanks for watching.

  • Nice review man, but you should try delirium nocturnum. I think that's more your kind of beer.

  • I will keep that in mind. Thanks for watching.

  • ....its the biggest selling home brew kit in the world!? you should be able to get it in your city. It has everything you need to make your first kit beer.

then after a few kits you can move on to AG (all grain)

love ya vids. keep up the good work

  • Hey dude!

    Love ya vids!

When i watch them at times it looks like your lost for words regarding how to explain things regarding the beer.

Do you brew your own beer? I ask you this because i think if you did you would better understand beer and be able to explain it more.?

Maybe you do brew your own and know a shit load but try to keep it simple?

Did you know Coopers...i know you have had that....

  • I don't brew but I do study beer alot and really do try to keep it simple. So that your average person can understand it. I am trying to attract your average Joe Blow drinking Bud or Coors out there. And I can't get to them acting like a beer snob. Thank you so much for your input it is really appreciated.

  • good point! Keep up the good work!

  • This is one of my friends favorite beer, i'm glad you liked it, he's been trying to get me hooked, i'm definitely gonna try it after this.

  • Let me know what you think of it when you try it. I am always trying to get as much input as I can about what people think about different beers. Thanks for watching.

  • hey man, do you still drink sam adams. if so, you can find winter lager. maybe you could do a review on that.

  • I will look for that one next time I am shopping.

  • man dude it looks like you got a bigger budget

  • Haha, Thanks for noticing. But I have reviewed beer that cost more than this one.

  • haha, nah, i was talking about all the effects and stuff lol.

  • That was some sick smoke JoeD. Neat beer, one I've never heard of.

  • It was huh. Love great smoke like that. Just looks cool that's all doesn't have any other value. Thanks for watching.

  • What am I going to do with you bro. Belgians are a different animal. Like someone before mentioned they use very unique yeast strains that produce distinct tasting esters and volatiles with spicy notes. Most Belgians are bottled conditioned leaving a yeast sediment called Lees on the bottom. DO NOT pour the lees into the glass or youll get those floaties and a different tasting beer. Also stick to the 750ml bottles when possible, much better for conditioning. Great reviews, keep it up.

  • really good tip about the lees

  • Thanks for watching.

  • Now that is a matter of controversy. There are people that believe in pouring that in the glass and those that don't. It is a preference. There is no absolute way of doing anything. Thanks for watching.

  • well bottle is best but for a review a glass shows everything...

  • Great vid as always. Keep it up man. Cheers

  • Thanks for watching.

  • nice review joe d !!!!!!

  • Thanks for watching.

  • yo, great job man let me help you out on the finish. in most belgian beers they have a yeast strain that conversts the sugars and make alcohol but they also leave somthing extra and that somthing extra is a spice note. you know ive had alot of belgians but not this one so I could be wrong but im guessing thats what you taste.

next belgians you should try: duvel and chimay white

  • You could have been right. I am always open to others input. I have the chimay white in my man den I just need to review it. Thanks for watching and the info.

  • yeah I would love to see that bro! its one of my favs but of course they do well with age so its up to you!

  • great video man

  • Thanks for watching.

  • i was not the fan of this beer . it was ok but for the price by me 23 bucks it tasted like old blue moon in my opinion but good review

  • Wow I can't believe it cost you $23. I am not sure I would have bought it if it cost that much.

  • This stuff floating around in your beer is because it has been exposed to a low temperature for too long. This phenomenon is rather common in a lot of Belgian and Dutch beers that have been frozen or exposed to too low temperatures. Normally, Delirium Tremens does not look like that. It does not really change the taste though.

  • Brother that is some great info!! Thanks for that comment.

  • Bro that really was some awesome smoke! If you can find a Beer from Belgium called: 'Barbar au miel' , you should try it, pretty good !

  • I am glad you liked the smoke I thought this beer put out some awesome smoke. Ha-ha. Thanks for watching and tell a friend.
