You know what? I love you Jamie, but it's not always that easy to accumulate confidence. For some of us, it's not a question of just getting up and carrying on. For some of us, the lack of confidence has found its way beneath the skin and deep into our hearts and our brains. I never had much confidence so it took one lousy teacher to completely knock me down. Various people have tried to repair me, and I'm trying so hard to get back up again but I just can't. I'm ready to give up now.
I get what you mean, but I didn't get support about music from anyone up until my senior year in high school...You just have to do it for yourself...Sing, dance, play, whatever it is you do, do it for only yourself and you can't fail.
i know how hard it is but i still fight becuase i know i can make it and i have a gift people tell me so they don't try to repair me they let me do that they just stand by to catch when and if i fall!!
it's really hard for me to sing infront of of poele becuase i have trust issues so i can't trust my self to rock out and have confidence in my self i try and fall but i've mad some steps forward and i have faith that one day I'll run leavin flamin tracks
don't give up :) there will always be people trying to knock you down; how I see them as is a chance to deal with them to make myself stronger so I can reach my goals of becoming an author and artist without losing confidence from criticism, destructive or constructive. How you deal with those people is completely up to you - if you deal with them or if you don't. Keep fighting; it just might be worth it in the end.
@InsanityMuch Did you even hear the song? Don't give up. It's not other people who need to repair you; it's you. And I mean, you said "one lousy teacher". If they're lousy, why listen? If everyone gave up, nothing would ever get done. Dreams aren't always achieved, but you never know when you can inspire someone to follow theirs. In the end, giving up isn't selfish - it's loosing opportunities not only for you, but for others too.

I love it, and you are so right about dreams. This is pretty much the only life we have before it's over, so why not live it doing something you love to do. I get what you mean, but I didn't get support about music from anyone up until my senior year in high school...You just have to do it for yourself...Sing, dance, play, whatever it is you do, do it for only yourself and you can't fail.

i know how hard it is but i still fight becuase i know i can make it and i have a gift people tell me so they don't try to repair me they let me do that they just stand by to catch when and if i fall!!
it's really hard for me to sing infront of of poele becuase i have trust issues so i can't trust my self to rock out and have confidence in my self i try and fall but i've mad some steps forward and i have faith that one day I'll run leavin flamin tracks

don't give up :) there will always be people trying to knock you down; how I see them as is a chance to deal with them to make myself stronger so I can reach my goals of becoming an author and artist without losing confidence from criticism, destructive or constructive. How you deal with those people is completely up to you - if you deal with them or if you don't. Keep fighting; it just might be worth it in the end.

@InsanityMuch Did you even hear the song? Don't give up. It's not other people who need to repair you; it's you. And I mean, you said "one lousy teacher". If they're lousy, why listen? If everyone gave up, nothing would ever get done. Dreams aren't always achieved, but you never know when you can inspire someone to follow theirs. In the end, giving up isn't selfish - it's loosing opportunities not only for you, but for others too.

I love it, and you are so right about dreams. This is pretty much the only life we have before it's over, so why not live it doing something you love to do. This song and this video was truly inspiring, my family keeps telling my sister and I it isn' possible to make it in the music industry, and for awhile i was beginning to get discouraged but this video gave me a wake up call, and now we are back on track to getting out there and sharing our music with the world
