  • Did you really stick your finger in hot boiling water to check for saltiness? You're DA man!

  • boiling water is really not that hot, now a deep fryer would be another story....and yes my wife would agree with you about the DA part..sometimes.

  • boiling water IS hot. but due to the leidenfrost effect you can stick your finger in that water for a second without problem.

  • Great video and I love the entertainment in the middle! Thanks for sharing your recipe with us!

  • tip:

Add some juniper berries too. You'll be surprised how good it is with it!

    Great cooking, best wishes!

  • Nice Vid... I missed the garlic in the sauce or is there a reason it's not in the recipe.

  • No. I put it in it too. I really never cook it the same way twice, Thanks for watching

  • pro

  • Nice work, we liked your video very much so we embedded it on ChefCommons . com w/ link back and reference to Youtube. (Let us know if you don't wish for it to be featured)

  • Yum!

  • Mushrooms are good in this. I think that adding about whetever you like would be good as long as you use some/all of these ingredients. I just had it again for dinner tonight and I find myself doubling the celery and carrots. I have never once in the past used these two veggies in my spaghetti sauce. Very Yummy!!!

I would like to see some cool, refreshing drinks/deserts from the Mustang Chef for the upcoming heat waves in the South.

    Get the book people!

  • Thanks Gascondy, and if you want a replacement book for the one that fell apart we worked out the problem and are having them bound differently..

We will take your advice on next subject matter...but grilled cheese is coming next with an excerpt about" THe Oven". Keep Those cards and letters coming.

  • your video is funny. I like it. I was about to ask u to get married to some1coz felt sry for u until i saw u r lovely family. :)

  • Ya if I wasn't married I would definetly need to get married>]

  • I never really cook it the same way twice. it really leaves room for unexpected improvements. I appreciate your feedback and passion for food, Thanks for purchasing the book. keep those cards and letters coming.

  • Either way it was great and I am glad I had plenty left over for the next two days. I will definately be making it with turkey over beef from now on.

  • I have a complaint. My stomach hurts from eating too much of this at dinner tonight. My wife went by "The Path to Magic" recipe which leaves out the basil as well as the porcini. The directions are different as well. What gives? Oh well, we will just have to make it again next week the video way. The texture of the sauce was right on and we really like the flavor. Thanks for sharing. More vids please.

  • u got the jenny o hell yea u kno whats up blood

  • u some kind of youtube gangsta?

  • lol!

  • what were the seasonings again?

basil leaves, fennel seed, porcini mushrooms, and what? Tai? sorry I couldn't make it out

  • thyme

  • thanks! managed to cook it today (but had to substitute porcini with regular mushrooms). pretty tasty.. a bit sweet.

I hope you do more videos using turkey meat

  • managed to cook it yesterday. had to replace porcini with regular mushrooms. pretty good recipe.. a bit sweet.

I hope to see more turkey recipes from you!

  • thanks for all the support. 5000 views hit on Dec29 08

  • indeed thank you. . . about the food. 94 cobra looks better in person

  • Yes , the chef stands corrected, it is his Polish midwestern dialect.

  • Awesome video!!! 10 out of 10!

(Just need to learn how to pronounce "porcini." It's 'porCHEEnee' not 'porSEEnee')

  • I think the dude is just really into it. Did you see his Nam stir fry...looks like hes into beer not coke.lol

  • and i mean evanR626 pls shut up just because u cant cook like him please dont hate and leave rude comments

  • evan shut up

  • hey man spag is good and you seem like a pretty good chef, but seriously you act like you just snorted a huge line of coke before you started cooking. its great to be passionate about something you love to do, but when its over the edge it just seems fake.

  • High on life; With food this good it's hard not to be

  • This recipe sounds awesome! It's nice to see someone do something interesting with what could be such a boring meal. Congrats! Can't wait to try the recipe!

  • I make the smoothest sauce ever! Email me for the recipe!

  • spaghetti begins with the best meats, beef pork and veal! 2 eggs bread crumbs and pamesan along with basil and seasoned salt and pepper and parsley! Add a little marjoram!

Fry meatballs in 3 tablespoons of olive oil and add to crockpot adding frying pan gravy! In the crockpot, you will have 6 fresh roma tomatoes that were crushed or completely sauced! 2 cans of pear tomatoes with basil

  • okay seriously people, if you really want good spaghetti sauce, put some Kahlua in it. I started doing that quite a few years ago and people have raved about my sauce for years. I wished I had kept it secret, but hey....why bother when you want everyone to enjoy it too right?

so go ahead, experiment by taste, cus I have no clue how much I put in...I just pour away till it tastes how I like it. hehe!

then guzzle the rest of the bottle down like a giant shooter. LOL!

  • I love this ,the music is awsome, food and rockand roll,I wish I could cook.

  • looks great !!!

  • Greg,

You were made for tv. I'm going to try some of your recipes.

Please say hi to Wanda and Melville.

    --Al Mizzi

  • i have the best recipe: you need - 2 packs of spaghetti - any type of spaghetti sauce - cream cheese - ground meat - sugar - salt - ground pepper - red bell pepper - mozarella
  • To hell with the turkey! I use beef, pork and veal! Videos coming soon!

  • looks good

  • Greg, I wish I worked on The Food Network. I would make you a star! I know your background as an executive chef at fine Detroit area restaurants. Couple those skills with your engaging personality, and you can't lose. I'm off to the kitchen to make that spaghetti sauce.

  • Hey Greg,

I spoke with you today. You were calling someone else, but got me instead. You had the number in your cell, but now it's mine. Saw a couple of your videos. Pretty cool. Where are you from? I saw the spaghetti from Stockbridge. Is that Stockbridge, MA? Beeen there many times. From Worcester area, but now live in Florida.

  • This guy is awesome. It's as if he did all of this on his lunch break

  • You know it baby!

  • Loved the video, can't wait to try the recipe. You are a natural in front of the camera!

  • Greg...You never used celery until you were in N.Y.C. for a marathon? That's an interesting tidbit and fascinating to me...I mean why not? Maybe you can answer that in the next episode of Mustang Chef. I'd like to be known as Chef Frayer though.

  • Wow

  • mmMMmm that looked yummy!
