I've been looking for this movie forever, hoping it would come out on DVD one day. I must've seen it 20+ times when it was in theaters here (admittance was 25 cents then, HA!) It was one of the few movies to make it past the iron curtain (I'm from East Germany), so I have special memories of it. And seen today, it's much better than I "feared" :)

Thank you so much - I've always loved this movie. Who cares about the cheesy acting? The ending is fabulous - like Rocky, Karate Kid, Flashdance, all those movies where someone beats the odds - love it!!!

This movie is so awesome!! It's probably the only music/dance film from the 80's that hasn't gone stale. It's just as fun and fresh to watch as it was then. A guilty pleasure of mine when I don't want anything too serious

:-) Cynthia Dale is great. I hope this makes its way to DVD someday soon! The soundtrack is wonderful too.
