Young Christian Vasquez is a brilliant artist -- genius, for certain! He's still in his 20's, so imagine... when he has still more experience! Someone mentions his memorization of this score. He also conducts Mahler's Second from memory, which is phenomenal and infinitely more difficult. Keep in mind too: this young genius replaced DUDAMEL as the Director of this youth orchestra, before Dudamel went to Los Angeles to conduct the L.A. orchestra. BRAVO, Maestro Vasquez! You are a treasure!

I really enjoyed this performance! If only the timpani weren't so harsh
