@mnason4000 Actually the masts on the ship are short because the tops have been removed for some maintenance reason. A mast is in several pieces, and on a vessel this size the main mast at least has three sections each fastened at the top and actually overlapping slightly. If you will look at some of the videos of the USS Constitution on Youtube in a few of them you will see it with its masts down as well, the same as this. They remove them for repairs to the masts, rigging or hardware.

I paddled up to it on a kayak, went across the yellow floating bouys just to touch the ship. A big fat (real fat) security guard bent over the rail and started yelling.. "Get the fuck away from the ship"... I just started laughing and was hoping the kook would lean a little over farther and fall. Oh well, I still got to touch the ship. It looked like a giant piece of art, and it was very very detailed to the bone.
hahah i have ship just like it now i mean its a giant model but i can sail on it and it can hold in really rough waters
