I love the scene where Castiel found a preacher yelling into the microphone about how righteous he and his followers were in picketing the weddings of homosexual couples. Castiel came in, and said he was God, and he didn't care what sexual orientation you were, as long as you loved him. Then he killed the preacher. It was a great scene. It showed Castiel's want to make the world so much better, and for his followers to love him. He had good intentions, but it wasn't enough.

I find it interesting that castiel corrupted himself because it kinda shows people that EVIL is not only about lucifer. Lucifer was not the only one who rebelled. There were dozens with him. He (and all the other fallen ones) disobeyed n' tried to be more powerful than god exactly like castiel is doing in the series. Good x EVIL. Seems like a good season. I just hope they don't surrender.Hope they keep fighting because that's what they've been fighting for and it doesnt make sense to give up

@accpessoal Castiel disobeyed to save the world. He wasn't trying to be more powerful than God, and in the show they state that God was dead, so someone had to take over. He was trying to keep Raphael from becoming God because he knew that Raphael would start the Apocalypse all over again and he didn't want the humans to be destroyed. Though true, Lucifer wasn't the only one who rebelled, it wasn't always about power though.

However watching over some of the episodes again, I'm pretty sure the Real God will reveal himself and either cast Castiel out, kill him or release the souls and give him retribution.

@accpessoal  I liked your post. There were other angels who fell with Lucifer and Azazel the Yellow Eyed Demon who killed Mary Winchester and fed six month old Sam his blood was one of these fallen angels. I love how this show has so many layers and complex characters.
