  • This movie is one of the few instances in which the musical scores really defined the movie. The plot line by itself was great and filled with intricate twists and turns and really required one to use his or her gray matter; however, the musical scores really evoked the full spectrum of emotional depth in all the scenes.

  • @MrTibbso9 I figure you´re also aware Zimmer used the magical technique of augmentation. All of the scores are based off of Edith Piaf´s Non, Je ne regrette rien, the music they hear when they´re about to wake up which sings ¨The song the dreamers used to signal the end of a dream.¨ Zimmer slowed the piece down affecting the over all pitch, and transcribed what he heard. I think that´s a pretty cool.

  • I just saw this. Its a little hard to understand at first. But now i get it. He chose to believe that guilt will keep you from what you want to do. And thats making the right choice. You cant hold onto the past forever. Even if it was the most depressing time.

  • Wow, simply wow. Best movie ever, best ending ever ( The Usual Suspects close second ) and best movie sound track.

  • music are awesome,my mind is blown away

  • 7 people can not dream ...

  • one of the typical movie endings, where your mind literally is blown away for a few minutes and you are not able to think of anything, except the movie.

  • best movie of my life

  • this movie is one the of the best movies iseen in my life..chris nolan is jst an awesome director

  • "we're building a house on a cliff." He's going to be lost forever.

  • 7 people have no dreams

  • Those last 40 seconds... :')

  • This song (time) is one of the best pieces of music i have ever heard

  • That's the most goosebumps I have ever had..

  • Only one word - EPIC :)

  • He just woke up from the weirdest dream (shutter island)

  • best movie i've ever seen. !!!

  • i am crying right now

  • this is the ending of a movie about 6 people in a 10 hours first class flight from Sydney to L.A. The main character is screaming during his sleeps, that probably explain why the other passenger look at him with grin face.

  • I think It doesn't matter whether it's a dream or not, he has chosen to accept that this is his reality. The ending of this movie is supposed to be ambiguous, and regardless of what I thought happened in the end this movie was so incredibly rewarding.

  • @miekka686 It was reallity

  • the fact that he will see his children again lights up this soundtrack.

  • just letting you know , when the "spinning thing" is spinning you can see and hear that it is just about to end. plus in most of his dreams he never sees his childrens face he only sees their bodies digging. so most likely it wasnt a dream. nevertheless this movie is outstanding and amazing

  • Wait, if we can assume that Cobb does read and fill out the forms, doesn't that mean he's not inside a dream (since you can't read inside of a dream, due to dreams being formed in the right hemisphere of the brain, while reading is performed within the left hemisphere)???

  • @josepharte Cobb reads the documents from Saito's safe in the very first dream so it doesnt seem to apply here.

  • Of course! The Asian starts to play his game-boy color!

  • I haven't seen this film in a while. When i went to the cinema to watch it, i came out in absolute awe. WHAT a film. Nolan-Genius

  • If you seen the movie, it would be much sadder if you knew why the top was still spinning at the very end

  • first sign of a good film= it gets folks talking. i remember walking out of premiere and debating with folks to see what they thought e.g. did the top trip or not. i'd say a great success.

  • This is the beat score I heard in years! It planted me the idea in playing the soundtrack on piano an putting it on YouTube. Hans Zimmer is excellent in both sentimental and action packed soundtrack.

  • I'm starting to think that Saito is Cobb's "anti-totem". He seems to pop up in the most precarious situations during the film, and if you notice him in the baggage claim....standing there on the phone, symbolizing the significance of Cobb's getting through costumes. And for one short phone call that could have only lasted a few minutes after touchdown to provide ALL that exoneration for Cobb seems like something that only would happen in a person's dream.

  • Either way - there is room for a prequel or sequel...Bring it on!

  • THAT MUSIC. GOOSEBUMPS.

  • it wobbled!!!!!

  • Everytime I see this scene, I realize how fantastic this movie is. Also the music is simply amazing!

  • I can watch this a thousand times and I still get chills every time

  • @trunkszetto Same with me. I even cried a bit at the end. Really great ending

  • sec..gonna cry i bit brb

  • This scene gives me major fucking goosebumps!

  • @GadgetsMagazineWeb But that wouldn't be much of an epic movie if they just hypnotized him, now would it?

  • I love this movie, The music and the ending are so epic. I started admiring Di Caprio for the past 5-6 years. He is an awesome actor.

    Happy New year all.

  • Saito's actor does a great job at looking mindfucked for living his whole life in limbo only to suddenly be shocked awake to reality

  • "We're building a house on a cliff!"

Just like Saito's mansion in Limbo.

  • i just realize what the hell they have been trough.. how much money spend.. time.. lifes.. just to plant that shit in his mind...

made me realize this whole movie was pointless..

I would het the best hypnotizer in the country and plant it in his brain.. i might even make him believe he is a chicken...

  • @GadgetsMagazineWeb all of this was done for someyone to get back home to their kids don't you want that to happen?

  • just fucking awesome!

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

  • The truth is ultimately we all have perceptions, and the ending is a question mark. The is no wrong or right answer. The wedding ring theory or totem theory are both plausible agruements that oppose each other. But truth is it's up to you. Just how far you go in depth in a dream is up to you, just dont go to far because then you start to forget about what feels real to yourself. What felt real to cob was his kids at that moment. And he didnt care really if he was dreaming. chose ur perception.

  • this is the best mother fucking movie ever i love you leonardo (:

  • WOW! Christopher Nolan Really Knows How To Make Good Movies!

  • im so glad i saw this in theaters

  • i think that might have been me :)....

  • @TheNoodle97 If it wasn't you, then we shall high five at the end of The Dark Knight Rises this summer 8^)

  • those last 30 seconds me and my buddy were all like "yeah this was an awesome movie"... Then the zoom on the damn spinning thing starts and both of us goes "oh no, please stop! please don't keep spinning" and then right as it is about to be revealed whether it stops or keep spinning, ZIIP! the end

  • @Warshave that's the idea of inception, it planted the idea in your brain, was it real, or was it a dream again? xD

Chris Nolan is an awesome director

  • @Warshave it's real because he's not using the wedding ring, he uses the wedding ring in th dreams only.

  • @Warshave it doesn't matter if the top falls or not, he could still be dreaming. Unlike everyone elses token his works normally in the real work and oddly in dreams, if he was in anyone elses dream they would dream it to fall by default. On top of that it isn't his token in the first place, it was Mal's she gave it to him. The important part of the ending is what the children say when he asks them what they have been doing: "building a house on the cliffs", the beginning of the movie's location.

  • @Warshave Really people? The spinning top is the totem of Cobb's wife, his totem are the faces of his two children, which is why he turns away when Mal tries to show them.

  • woah woah woah Is he still dreaming or not Im soooo confused

  • It's one of those endings, man. That feeling when you see it for the first time and walk out of the theater thinking "goddamn, this movie was amazing."

  • @CaptainFalconOnAPogo I agree fully, Inception is one of those rare movies of such genious and exellence

  • @CaptainFalconOnAPogo @Warshave You should become a movie critique.

  • God I cry at the ending even after seeing it 100 times. Its so beautiful

  • Cooler Look from Di Caprio!

  • Instant Goosebumps after watching this in Theatres...Nolan & Zimmer = EPIC!

  • So he went from the plane to the airport to his house...........We have to go deeper!

  • Di Caprio, whit a good director at his back... becomes a fucking BEAST... period.-

  • this scene made me cry.. I really hoped he did get home and everything was true, not just a dream.

  • This is so fucking epic :D I saw it twice in a row in the theater because it was so good.

  • leonardo dicaprio no person in the world means moor to me then you i love you so much god bless you

  • His face when the officer says "Welcome home, Mr. Cobb" is like "What, really?"

  • this scene makes me cry of happiness :')

  • of course it is a dream in the end he's kids are still small

  • i remember there was a collective gasp and some girl behind me going, please tip over please tip over, gives be goosebumps

  • I like my friend's interpretation of the ending. She was saying how it's not about whether or not he was dreaming, but that he decided not to look at the top- because he decided that as long as he was with his children, and it seemed real, then it didn't matter to him if he was dreaming.

  • savrseno!

  • this movie is and always will be leonardo Di Caprio and Christopher Nolans masterpice!

  • today in school i had to think about this scene the whole time and the first thing that i did when i came was to watch this again....=)

and this score is just too amazing...i'm supposed to learn for an exam which is tomorrow but when i hear this i just want make or hear music and forget everything else...it's really hard to don't do this...

man..hans zimmer inspires me so much!!!

  • kool savas - aura

  • Nolan said that he probably chooses the ending to be real because he has kids. And that like word of god, so......

  • @bond626007 plus, you see cobbs kids faces. and they're wearing different clothes. Just saying.

  • What I want to know is, does his team recognize him?

  • @manofsteam1 Yeah, of course they did.

  • @brooke9132 Excuse my ignorance. I guess I misread the expressions on his team's faces.

  • oR_ds7ZF8Xg

  • Did you add the music ?

  • Guys, this scene is in real life not a dream. I know most of you will say it's a dream because the totem keeps going still, BUT that was never his totem to begin with remember he took it out of the safe from his wife in their dream. It's his wife's totem and she's stuck in the dream realm. which is why it stays spinning.

  • @hemogoblin702 That has no effect on the real world bro.

  • @hemogoblin702 Dude, It doesn't matter whether it is a dream or not. People here are so focused on wondering whether it's a dream or not that they've missed the point. The point is that he didn't look to see whether it's a dream or not. He didn't care whether he was in a dream or not because at the end of the day he just wanted to go back home and see his children again.

  • @hemogoblin702 his wifes dead retard

  • @hemogoblin702 we dont know if it stops spinning or not. you made a bad point cause even though it WAS his wifes totem doesnt mean in reality it would just keep spinning lol like wtf u high dog? and look at malusrenums comment, his is right cause thats what the director himself said in a interview

  • to cry for.

  • Epic ! No director can picturise like this ! It gives me euphoria !

  • Sickage

  • I might be strange saying this, but when i watched this movie i was moved so much i feel like i'm scared of this movie.

  • What i dont get is why they are all staring at him with a wierd look, anyone know

  • @Noobkilla99786 Because they just did an epic inception thats why

  • Holy FUCK. I aint seen this movie in over a year and I just got the chills watching this ending. Powerful movie.

  • Hmm, where did that ring go? He had his wedding ring on his left hand every single dream. Where is it at the end? *cough* hint *cough*

Anyways, great film. By far the best in it's genre. The storyline, the soundtracks, the dark feeling etc. etc. Great acting too!

  • He was in the real world at then end, in the dreams you don't see his childrens faces, the totem does start wobbling, and Michael Caine was never in the dream sequences. But I like how it finished and how people can choose their own conclusion. Great, great film, instant classic, top 10 movies ever made.

Nolan is pure genius, and Leo, well, the undisputed king of acting in this day and age. He is what Pacino and De Niro were before him.

  • @rhinos111 i totally agree with the last part. when titanic came out every1 was like "lololol dicaprio fucking pussy loved by small girls" but now he is just a fucking bossactor acting perfectly in the best films. seriously i as a man am a totally fan of him and i hope i will see many more movies with him!

  • @PG1337ify LOL, I'm a bloke too and I used to be one of those Leo haters back when Titanic and Romeo & Juliet came out... Long since converted. Agree with the comment below, someone get this man a bloody oscar!!!

  • 7 people stuck in limbo

  • 0:55 LEO MEANS BUSINESS

  • Some one please fetch this man a fuckin Oscar!!

  • I'm going to play this song on my iPod the next time I step off the plane at an airport, you should too.

  • ...I'v never seen this before

  • Man the part where he wakes up and looks around... too damn convincing.. Love it!!

  • Anybody wanna explain the end ????? i've only seen it once and am confused :S..Maybe i need to watch it again

  • Its real b/c the totem started wobbling just when the scene cuts.

  • Classy JGL at the end :D 0:39

  • all hairs are gettin up at the end <3

  • Everytime when I see this scene I realize how fantastic the movie is. It´s definitely my favourite movie and I love the soundtrack. It´s simply great!!!

  • i dont get it

  • every time i see i fell im dreaming to ,....NOLAN ur GOD

  • 0:56 Leo means business

  • You can see that the spinning top is just gonna fall and then it ends... I love the ending because it's made like you should think of what happened...

  • I've played just this scene several times on blur ray, sometimes I start it when the first buildings collapse in the lowest conscience levels..

  • its real life here

  • I remember walking out of the theater high fiving a complete stranger after this movie.

  • @dhannyboy86 lololololol

  • @dhannyboy86 i think that might have been me... :)

  • @dhannyboy86 definatly! :D

  • This is probably the most subtle ending to any movie, its a relaxing way to end after a rather intense climax and helps you focus unlike other movie endings where they just go on and on, Nolan is such a genius.

  • This movie is in the same category as Saving Private Ryan and the Dark Knight also known as the best movies ever made category.

  • Lol notice how at 3:08 he's holding the girl, then at 3:11 he's holding the boy all of a sudden, oh and great movie by the way :)

  • Matt Damooooon!!!

  • @zukofan2

    is not in this movie

  • @chaosdude14 MATT DAMON

  • i started crying at 2:59 i ove this movie so much

  • Truly amazing, i just love the Whole movie!

  • 6 people have no ideas )))))

  • @PiotorTatamovich If six people dislike this then its there problem, tired of comments like these just because some people dislike a video, if your just trying to get some attention then post something decent and meaningful.

  • Jimmi trant and of course @DG6985 wherever you are thereeeeee !!!Fuck you too!!!

    just like greatest actor said

  • dicaprio made best acting as always

  • This ending still gives me chills every time I see it.

  • Cobb doesn't care about the top once he sees his children.

  • I remember how I reacted in theaters to the ending. First of all I was looking forward to this movie for a very long time, ever since it was announced. But once Nolan did that quick cut to black, I just smiled. I wasnt surprised how he ended it and that's what makes him one of the most creative genius directors we have today. The man just knows how to tell a story and carry the audience up until the last second. Nolan's masterpiece but well definitely be seeing alot more great work from him!

  • in 3 minutes and 38 seconds iv'e been more moved than the last 3 weeks of my real life

  • The top stops at the VERY end...

  • amazing ending yes,yes,yes

  • This Ending made me so happy :(

  • The movie ends at that moment not only to keep the audience wondering about Cobb's reality (or lack thereof), but mainly to show that it doesn't matter anymore. The entire movie is about him pursuing happiness and then later, whether worlds are real or just elaborate dreams. The final scene serves to show that it no longer matters to Cobb whether it's a dream or not. He's happy; that's all that matters. Notice how he spins it, and instead of watching it like he always does, he walks away.

  • Hey guess what?

He's not dreaming, compare the kids attire to the previous ones.

The ending is like that because they're leaving the possibilty of a sequel open.

  • "we're building a house" aww so cute :D

  • Every time I must cry at the end of this Film. Its so awesome.
