As for the motives for the invasion, Stalin asked for a naval and air base at Hanko and a Karelian isthmus, for the defense of vital city Leningrad in case of war. In return Finland would get a large piece of Soviet territory. The Finns refused and Stalin preferred a political solution but eventually chose for a military one. In the end, the invasion was meant to occupy all of Finland. But it was defensive and tactical, but for most people apparently such metaphysical values are hard to grasp.

There were only finnish generals like Ernst Linder and Martin Ekström. Whole world knows that Martin Ekström"s mother was finnish. That is why he felt so connected to this country.
Anyway finns and germans plus our baltic kameraden were noble soldiers. I know that Wilhelm Laqua also had a finnish background.

@narrator89 Yes, you sure did fight back hard. Actual invasion took 1 week, apr 7th-apr 14th. Last allied forces were evacuated (with yout king) june 7th and the whole thing was over june 9th. Allied forces (France, England) lost 5600 troops, Germany 3700, Norway lost 1335 troops.

You propably mean Suomi KP/-31 (Suomi-konepistooli or submachine gun Finland) which the finns used 1939 against the ruskies. The russians copyed that model and made PPD-40 and PPSh-41 submachine guns later.

Soviet Union set up that Finnish soldier killed russian soldiers near the border. Now why the hell we whould attack? The ruskies "wanted to free Finland from the shackels of capitalism"

What do you mean free from capitalism, and as they always say your beloved Communist, they say obviously workers rights, equality for all, equal distribution, and many other impressive things besides. But all of it is just nonsense!
