there are no scientific basis to hypnotism.

the truth is this guys, the most so called "hypnosis" can do for you is relax you and little else. studies in the area have actually proved that people under hypnosis actually *lie* to themselves about being hypnotized because they want to feel something.

read the scientific literature in the area and you'll see that it's actually just a way to rip you off and nothing more than a funny trick at parties when you have highly gullible friends.

Looks like it is time for YOU to do your research, since there is extensive published research on the effects of hypnosis particularly in health and medical applications. Anyone who says there is no scientific basis, is living under a rock.

au contraire. i am a psychology student and have done the research and written a paper on the subject which got 1st class marks.

the papers you've been reading are probably not endorsed by a proper scientific body. the vast majority of papers written on the subject find that hypnosis is not real, that the effects are not as hypnotists claim for them to be, and in my personal opinion, anyone who claims to be able to hypnotize anyone is just a rip off.

Just because you did 1 paper, that does not mean you have studied this field in depth. I have committed 15 years full time. The immense body of scientific research is available for you to learn. But you will only see what you want to see, and a mind is like a parachute? Maybe you need a better teacher?

i didn't just do one paper, this is university level stuff, you do go into quite a lot of detail, and you research the most relevant papers. and the most relevant papers have found that hypnosis is not useful for much, other than some good tricks at parties if you have highly gullible friends.

sorry if i discredit your career, but this is my opinion, as well as the opinion of many scientists. i will make no further comments.

Hypnosis is a very simple an well scientific described phenomenon. You can, for example, take a view at the big pool of literature given Milton Ericson. Today, there is no reasonable doubt about hypnosis. The problem ("there are no scientific basis to hypnotism.") comes from somewhere else. Note, that the propositions of linguistics, psychology a.o. are often unlogic and dealing highly arbitrary with their definitions about "awareness" etc. Hyp. is real, but Science hasn't captured yet.

hypnolover, if u actually do live up to ur name you will realise that Wendi's course is from what ive seen a great great offer. and 500 dollars for an actual course is rather cheap, i no Wendi from stickam and she is an amazing person aswell as teacher, an i no if i wanted to be taught hypnosis by anyone it would be wendi.
