  • Love it! Keep it up, Tina and Chris!

  • anybody else notice that white people funk better than black people rock? (btw - i'm a black west indian who loves his rock music)

  • @JHNWRL One requires learning rhythm, that's possible. The other would require losing it, much harder to do, LOL!!

  • Great classic !!

  • and u say white people cant rap

  • Um dos melhores videos musicais do YOUTUBE! Sem mais palavras para descrever. Só curtir!!!!

  • @nolafunk2011 Você disse TUDO!!!! Só quem curtiu essa época sabe.

  • Tina rocks

  • 8 people are Mariah Carey fans...

  • tina so hot

  • Why is homeboy wearing a tophat? #confused

  • Tina must sleep in a bath of formadehyde !! she looks great !!

  • I love the drummer on this one & the way the bass is mixed

  • Tina...Hotter than ever!

  • Excellent!!!! A timeless classic, often blasted in my house. 5* music.

  • There's no beginning and there is no end.

  • great performance from a creative set of ladies. Song is infectious, love it!

  • #348

  • The dj is fucking annoying.

  • Back When...

  • The bass girl is about a half step off! She's too slow! Her amp is way too low!

Where is Larry Graham when you need him!

  • @redskinmark

That bass girl is Tina Weymouth...do your research before you sprout off.

Come back when you look her up.

  • @raggabass

    Chill......

    Sprout off?

    I Can't make an observation?

    I don't care if she's Tina Turner...

    She's still a half step off @ 2:40 - 2:49

Not her fault, maybe an off night, maybe the amp!

She's not bad.... but you stick with Tina , I'll stick with Larry!

  • @redskinmark It's 'cause it's bloody hard to play the bass and sing at the same time!

  • Posers

  • This is crap....No funk groove like back in the day..... Dissapointed. I guess if this was a black show they would have the original groove going on..... uughh!

  • They had Quest Love sitting mere feet away and yet they used that guy?

  • @MitchellHurwitz Lol, i'm not sure Quest could replace the second half of the band.

  • Yea I would beat the breaks off Tina.

  • Awesome energy!

  • I love this song but the bass sounds like crap in this version

  • .. Who needs to think when your feet just go!

  • a alltime classic!

  • das good

  • And She Pumps Tha! Bass

  • im remember the mexicans and blacks breakdancing putting cardboards on street battling in san diego hood in the 80;s when i was probably 7 or 8 good times

  • Tina's bass sounds great, and she barley looks like she's playing it!

  • @GangstaGTV I saw them over 8 years ago at the Abbey Pub in Chicago. This clip has all the same energy as then, and even more than when they performed this same song in the "Stop Making Sense" movie back in '83. I hope they tour again in 2012. I'm buying tickets, I'm there. Who needs a Talking Heads reunion, anyway? We had one back in '96, when Concrete Blonde Johnette sang all the same songs better than David ever did, or will. Sorry, die-hards!

    - Cory, Illinois

  • Bohannon, Bohannon Bohannon, Bohannon!

  • What a life...To be a rock star and still rolling after all these years.

  • Funky!!

  • Ha, i met the guy spinning records on the train the other day.. nice dude.. we talked music for a bit and then parted. Kinda funny. Loving Fuzz in this video.

  • low tempo might please the geriatric crowd watching these shows, but it doesn't fit that song

  • nossa dançava muito esse som na balada!

  • "We went insane when we took cocaine" ... Best line ever, still can't believe they got away with that lyric

  • @bigbankX yea, especally sinse they changed that lyric "fun, nasty fun"

  • WOW!!!! This brings me WAY back! Good song!

  • absolutely brilliant. Love to see musicians enjoying what they do! What a tune too!

  • my jam

  • Muller - this is all they original people plus a few FYI

  • why did they chuck in dj scratch noises so weird

  • @adeptacheese because this song was intertwined into the hip-hop genre....it wasn’t intended to but it did...and it hit big time!!! The scratching is paying homage to the only genre that openly accepted the sound. It could not have been alternative.

  • @Rahxn but there is no scratching on the original record

  • everyone seems all slow lmao just dragging along.. >_< except for that white guy playing the drums hes bad ass! lol

  • This song is an example of how music transcends race and cultures. I was a kid when this came out and we didn't even know the band was all white and we didn't care. The music was dope, period. This band, like Teena Marie(R.I.P.) was hidden because they felt black people wouldn't embrace them. Wrong! There was a time when black people didn't care about race when it came to music. Today is so different. I hate to see to kids black or white segregate themselves from good music because of race.

  • @JDillagent . totally. 300% with you. we just didn't know and didn't care.

  • @JDillagent

most don't but if you let the T.V tell it, everyone is ignorant to the goodness we have. music has no color; and if both you and i believe that, then there is hope yet for the youths of today. bless up.

  • @JDillagent Well look at Herman & Kelly who made "Dance to the Drummer's Beat". Every D.J. played that record in almost every jam, disco, or party and everyone danced to this record. Their was only one black man in the band and about seven white guys.

  • @JDillagent hONEY, TODAY'S KIDS don't HAVE MUSIC! All they have is garbage rap,hip hop,American Idol and an an endless sea of crap! They don't have musicians much less people whom actually write their own music. It's a sad generation that was is manufactured and dictated to by the music biz and have no individuality!

  • @mrfrogbutt1 there is alot of good music out there. REAL music written by singer/songwriters, who simply don't fit the mold of "radio worthy". unfortunately, the stuff that makes the radio is garbage, yet it's what's getting shoved down people's throats day in and day out. THEY (corporate) tell us what's good. i do not listen to radio... i listen to music that's written and performed by the artist...not junk that some dude wrote that "would be PERFECT for" brittany spears!

  • @JDillagent

Well said. My parents introduced me to all forms of music. From Jazz, Classical, Salsa, and even country! There are and have been numerous white artists, whose musical roots are entrenched in soul music, such as Elvis, Dion, Frankie Valli, KC, and Michael McDonald, and blacks always supported their music. Tom Jones confessed that he wanted to perform as a soul artist, but at that time, the music industry, was still a little segregated. Thank God. times have changed!

  • @JDillagent Great music has no age and no color...

  • @JDillagent

what more can we say beside Amen ;) music as no colors or no races

    peace

  • Wow! Don't know if all the players are original (I doubt it) but they are awesome! Sounds just like the original and it's cool to see the actual instruments played.

  • This song is so sick, even until this day...

They are still rocking years later!

  • I give a damned flyshit about Tinas age, it is the music what counts and the music is great.
