And I would not say it is banal because that is implying that it is unoriginal which it is not lyrically and musically.

There is nothing original in the lyrics or even particularly challenging in terms of use of language. Muse are all about the epic sound of the music - and this is a great example of that - but come on, the lyrics are an afterthought.
