  • nails ??

  • wow youre VERY creative with cooking. the ingredients worked so well together

  • That's a purdy looking pumpkin.

  • aww i dont have that type of pumpkin in the US

  • Make more cooking videos! You're amazing at them so simple yet perfect

  • mmmmmmm looks delicious :D

  • I made this last week and it was so delicious. Thank you for the great recipe :)

  • this is a malaysian style pumpkin soup. we usually use pumpkin, lemongrass, coconut milk, turmeric powder, black peppercorns, dried shrimp, red chillies, bird's eyes chillies, onion, garlic, salt and sugar. blended or not blended both are fine.

  • Mmm Delish

  • i want some of this right now! looks delish!

  • thank you so much for this! im going to make it next week. <33

  • you don't have to peel!

  • omg, this looks so good

  • Hey Julia, I know you said the jack o'lantern pumpkins werent very nice, but I make a lovely soup using these. I cook the way you did and I add onion, fresh garlic, 5 carrots (grated) and mixed peppers with vegetable stock, and salt and plenty of pepper seasoned with thyme and parsley. Then blend, like you did, its lovely, my kids loved it.

  • Yummie that looks so good! I will make this for sure and let you know how good it was...I allready know it's good. Amazing ingredients...the oranges what a good idea. Thank you so much for sharing. xxx

  • could you please do a onion soup!!!!! PLEASE

  • I just made this and I put two chili peppers into it, but it turned out to be way too hot for me:( Next time I'll try it with very very little, cause otherwise it tastes good.

  • i love all of your cooking videos. More please!!!

  • i love how u r so passionate at makeup & cooking...especially healthy eating! i am so like u~ haha ;D

  • I am totally into pumpkin soups these days. I am gonna try this one!

  • Just out of curiosity - why did you peel the pumpkin after it'd been in the oven, rather than scooping out the softer flesh inside? I think I saw Gordon Ramsey scoop it out once, and it made it was less messy. Does that type of pumpkin take longer cooking to soften up the fleshy stuff inside? Realllly want to try this recipe before halloween :) xxx

  • I make a similar soup with canned pumpkin. Comes out great and not nearly as much work. No baking, peeling or pureeing. Well, I do have little pieces of onion and spices in the soup, if I do not puree it. I am sure that your's tastes much better than the canned pumpkin. Love your videos.

  • Planning on cooking a pumpkin soup next week! I wonder why you say that normal pumpkins don't taste good, though? Isn't most traditional pies and soups made from the large orange pumpkins? That's what I've always used, anyway... also, I'm a bit skeptical of adding the orange juice to this recipe, it seems a tad odd. Can you describe the final flavour?

  • This looks so delicious! Thanks so much for posting this video, I'm definitely going to try this out. =)

  • This looks so good.

  • yummy looks so good!!! --- Sent From MissChievous's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • YUUUUM!!!!! this looks so good.. is perfect for this chilly autumn evenings! thank you !!!!!11

  • I *just* made this soup and am eating it right now! To anyone thinking of making this, please do. It's sooo delicious. (I didn't add the chilis because I'm a lightweight, so it'll be great for those of you with more sensitive taste buds too).

Thanks for the recipe Julia :)

  • Could you please show us how to make the fish curry dish, shown in My Food Diary: What I Eat video. It looks delicious :)

  • The pumpkin you are using is a Hokaido! And you can actually eat the skin!! :) For other pumkins try a "Sparschäler"(whatever that's in english..), I think that works fine.

When I make pumkin soup I just cut it up into small pieces and cook it which goes a lot faster than baking it! I add vegetable stock, Curry and Coconut milk and mix/blend it! Done in 30 minutes :D

    tolles rezept!

  • lol "piping hot!" cute :)

  • This is a Hokkaido pumpkin and it's the only pumpkin that you don't need to peel. So you don't need to do the oven part :)

  • this looks amazinggggggggg

Finde dein Rezept sehr toll, danke dafür!

  • I liked the video very much. I loved the colour of that squash. I have not seen that variety here in Canada before.

  • thats the oddest pumpkin ive ever seen lol

  • It looks yummy--and very interesting! I'm going to give it a try. Thanks! :)

  • YUMMY!!!!!, that looks so delicious and perfect for Canadian fall nights. I will be making this :)

  • YUMMERS! --- Sent From MissChievous's AppRats (Facebook App)!

  • damn that soup looks good

  • looks nice but no salt or spices huh

  • @reponzel Vegetable stock = salt and no spices? There's lots of spice in this! Ginger, chili, lemongrass, kaffir lime...

  • That looks really good. do you come up with the recipes yourself or get them from a book?

  • @Lukiechrmz Mostly myself. I have some cookbooks but I don't use them very much anymore.

  • That looks and sounds like it is So good!! Lots of fiber too right??

  • the great thing about the hokkaido pumpkin is, that the skin gets soft, when you bake/ cook it and therefore you don't need to peel it! =)
