@ronho2007 ; There is always something about watching a master that amazes me. Any master. It's not only what they do, its how they do it and the aura they create while doing it.
man see the guests... there is chiu chia liang from kung fu hustle...lee kam wing from seven star mantis...its a full house...well i know even shek kin would go to chow gar functions back in the day.
that was great!! iv wanted too learn southern mantis for some quite time now... its amazing too me how different the southern and northen mantis styles look
complete opposites huh. i bet they would compliment each other very well though if you could learn both! pretty standard though, northern is more mobile, and southern is more rooted and stable. personally i wouldn't mess with either :D
Man thats creepy. You can tell this guys good, but man, that style. Its like a weird monster, robot thing. SM guys would be good kung fu movie bad guys...
This is Sifu Lee Teen Loi of Chow Gar Praying mantis demonstrating the "tornado hands" form at the late Grandmaster Ip Sui's birthday party. This was in Hong Kong in 2002 when the Head of the system was passed down to his son Sifu Ip Chee Keung.
Not sure what all those movements were but I am guessing you would be torn apart about halfway through that form if those moves were used on you!!

Very impressive. It's one of those forms you can dissect and analyze because there is so much knowledge and skill backing it up.

Analyze? I must be stupid, all I see is Chai Saiow fundamentals.

If you just watch his arms and nothing else, you'd think it was filmed in fast motion.
