this wonderful piece of celluloid always makes me think of The Legendary Judy watching the next great one arrive on her tv show; Judy was a smart cookie, she recognized talent.....Bravo Judy & Barbra....gorgeous post ! thumbs up !

She can try to sing the stars from the sky, and her most exquisite notes will still never be anywhere as spectacular as the great Garland's worst notes. I was lucky enough to know them both at this period, and to this day, Miss Barbra knows her place when up against comparisons to the Great Lady. Barbra overdid the screaming in these numbers because the Living Legend was THE only singer to whom she knew she was grossly inferior. But then one should never attempt to top abject perfection!
