the range of adjustment is so wide on these high quality bikes that if you are one extreme and its set at totally the opposite it seems very bad but with jap bikes they set them up for average size rider of 70kgs and even though they are fully adjustable in most cases its 20% of adjustment compared to bimota which can go that further 80% ,I own three jap sportsbikes and they all ride pretty good whether Im on it or a bigger bloke
@gengiz Here, here. The first thing i do when i get a new bike is return the suspension back to stock settings. This is usually perfectly adequate for road riding (maybe a little more preload and compression damping if you go 2 up a lot or are a fatty!)

It was explained in the video that if a motorcycle with such good suspension units is not set up for the person riding it, then it's no better than a Japanese bike. In order to enjoy and fully utilize an Italian bike you need to get to grips with the settings first.
If you are heavy, for example, you won't enjoy a superbike with soft suspension.
@pinkdogsrule Go for a monster or a brutale, much more comfortable, much easier to enjoy the power. Go for a fully fledged sport bike only if you're taking it to the track.
i drove it, for the most part is agree with him but if you start it up and drive off fully opening the throttle, sometimes the engine just stops, it drowns pretty quickly if its still cold

Actually RTiger18, Italian bikes are the best because of the quality. As for speed, as recently as 2007 the MV Agusta F4 was the fastest production motorcycle in the world, and it only is a 1078 (I think), not a 1340 like a Hayabusa. Also, Ducati 1098 has the highest torque to weight ratio of any bike. Plus the Italian bikes are handmade, in Italy. The Italian bikes are very rare, exotic, and lets face it really cool looking, whereas a lot of the bikes from japan look the same.
About your racing comments, Ducati alone has won 13 of the last 21 championships (World SBK), as well as 15 of the last 21 manufacturers championships (World SBK). The reason I chose World SBK is because you can buy those bikes straight from the manufacturers. Italians are interested in winning races and being stylish, not infesting the streets with garbage that every piece of white trash buys. Since they focus on racing they mostly build bikes which fit the template set by FIM.
Another thing, don't hate because you have a japanese bike. They are good, but you get what you pay for. This guy is absolutely dead on with his reviews hating on japanese bikes, but bear in mind that he does this for a living, and probably can afford some of these machines going up to (60,000 for a Desmo, or more, up to 180,000, for some ltd. ed. I just hate people goint ape on bikes for being good looking and fast. If I can quote a magazine i read recently, "Italians dont have style, they are style." Granted that style might not be for everyone. I like them because they are beautiful bikes built with passion and craftsmanship, Pride (as I am mostly italian), and the fact that they are faster due to better technology, that is why they are expensive.
You could compare it to a suit. Some people dont like expensive suits, because they dont see the need, but if you have ever had one on you understand what they are about. The fine material, attention to detail, and being tailor made to personal measurements (Proven fact Italian bike suspensions are better stock than jap bikes and the bike comes with a data analyzer, how cool is that).
Another thing is that a lot of these companies have under 500 employees and one factory, and are willing to throw down with huge companies and corporations both on the track and on the street, while retaining their individual goals mind you. The small factory that hand-produces bikes vs. the huge global corporations with massive factories with hundreds of machines making thousands of bikes.
You wrong Zep....I mean based on what I've read about the agusta,the fastest one only goes 176mph..You can take a japanese 750 and go faster than that..The bike just looks sweet..Nothing against it for real..If I could afford it,I'd buy it..The reason why it cost so much is because it was hand made..However,it does has a smooth ride..I'm going by what I saw in the book..It didnt say anything about it being the fastest bike in 2007..Which I already knew it wasn't.
