  • 1:53 It's A Hoe!!!!!!!!!""

  • this was the episodes of the ghostbusters when everything started going to the shitter, ending up in slimer and the ghostbusters.......but still were ok cartoons but damn how i miss the darkness and creepiness of the first seasons .

  • trick or treat!

    in your face!

  • wait wait wait dressing up as ghosts demonds and gholes!! (srry i cant spell) i went as harley quinn!!!

  • 6:44

They crossed the streams! Isn't that supposed to be really bad?

  • ah, the good old days when cartoons actually had halloween special episodes that were ACTUALLY SHOWN IN OCTOBER!. jeez producers get it through your heads, you do the same thing with christmas episodes. least simpsons have an excuse...

  • @animehunter23 Agreed, holidays aren't as fun as they use to be because everybody's petrafied somebody MIGHT get offended; it's the same with MLK Day, very few specials these days. GOD FORBID WE OFFEND THE NEO NAZIS! LOL. Granted, I'm a born again Christian & about as conservative as they come, so looking back I totally get why my parents censored my viewing options as a child, but that's just it; IT'S THE PARENTS JOB TO MONITOR THEIR KIDS, NOT THE SYSTEM'S (ESPECIALLY NOT THE GOVERNMENT'S)..

  • @Forysan An interesting sidenote to your complaint is that this may be why TV on DVD is such a trend now. Everything is so PC strangled right now, that the only way people can watch what they want is by buying a disc that people are afraid to put on the air. Classics survive because they were made before these PC critics would have killed it. But of course what these PC censors allow will probably be here today and gone tomorrow.

  • when that man was saying halloween was bad and demons are asosciated with it (they are, but still ...) he sounds just like my father .

  • The animation style has changed....I like it :D

  • AT 0:29 it sounds like the ghost farted

  • OH THE NEW CADET GHOSTBUSTERS IN THE INTRO. HE THOUGHT HE DEFEATED THE SLIME IN GHOSTBUSTERS 2 MOVIE BUT THE REAL GHOSTBUSTERS ACTUALLY DEFEATED THE SLIME AND ZODEX

  • Probably the clearest Slimer has ever spoken.

  • I still havn't heard the song because Im too embarassed to listen to it i just keep fast forwarding through it lol.

  • 2;15 pete got cockblocked

  • Even with Samhain in mind I think this a great episode. It's entertaining, the songs are surprisingly catchy and the whole 2nd and 3rd acts are really creepy for kids show standards.

  • no question i rememeber this episode when i was a kid that song jog my memory

  • that's was sick Slamer

  • The song and dance was just humiliating. How could the writers reduce the Ghostbusters to THIS! I'm scarred for life X_X

  • @NatashaChuah Eh; it's embarassing to see them singing a song, but I don't think the song itself is bad. Also, as cool as Samhain was, I like that in this special, the villain is actually something REAL. This sort of priggish shithead is far too common in real life, and America would be better off without them.

  • @NatashaChuah To answer your question, though, the original writers DIDN'T do this. The show was retooled to be more kiddy, and most of the original writers quit out of protest.

  • @Fawful5

    Thanks for the clarification.

  • NO WONDER I LUV THIS SHOW WHEN I WAS A KID

  • HAHAHA! WOW! GREAT SONG! so catchy i think i watch this ep b4 with that song so familiar

  • I wish Ghostbusters would come to my school and put on a show like that.

  • I'm surprised Slimer didn't try French kissing that chick. lol

  • And Winston closes the drawer on his hand...

  • @spreadingthemuse

You hit the nail right on the head with all you've said!!!! :D

  • Egon sings well!

  • "I think he wants to talk to me about buying the afterlife." LOL!

  • i've never seen Louis in an episode before! thanks for this!

  • God, I cannot stand Coulier's voice.

  • Just watched the directors commentary on this one on the DVD, and they cant give much praise to the songs. I personally think the songs almost ruined the whole thing. As a Ghostbusters nut there's almost nothing here to like. They invented a bogus Halloween legend. They dumped a superior monster, Samhain, in favor of this jive talking idiot. And they rewrote a lot of rules of ghostbuster lore (power pack run dry, etc).

THIS is inferior to the Samhain eps in every way.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse its not inferior to the old halloween episode in EVERY way. the animation in this episode is far superior to the animation in "When Halloween Was Forever"

  • @kind2311

Yes, the animation is better than "Halloween Forever," maybe not better than "Halloween 2 1/2" though.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse you have no joy in your soul.

  • @surrealname

Anyone who owns RGB on DVD is overflowing with joy ;)

Its just better expressed with "When Halloween was Forever" and "No One Comes to Lupisville" than this preposterous mess.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse It was the 80's, it was a Halloween special, it's classic. You sound like the whinning, "hate everything", ninny, that's in this episode. Goe back to you're cry baby club, and we'll enjoy the greatness that is the Real Ghostbusters.

  • @RyanLec84

First off I think you meant "whining." And "Go". And "Your." Three rudimentary spelling errors in one post are why I never take advice from youtubers.

I LOVE the Real Ghostbusters. I had it on tape 20 years before it came out on DVD. But if this is the worst of the 3 Halloween eps then I'm gonna say so. Samhain was the superior monster.

  • @SpreadingtheMuse Same here. I feel the same way.

  • they were clever to add the "clink" sounds of the backpacks and equipment even durring the song and dance

  • the song sound like taking care of business by bob seager

  • haha! Wow! Talented ghostbusters!!!!

  • Thank you for these memories. ^^

  • awww slimer found a girl

  • i hate those men the one who stole the PEKE meter

  • Those two stand for just about everything I hate.

  • those two sound like conservative christians who try to remove whatever they don't like and whatever they disagree with their own philosophy.

  • @hyoboy81 -- Actually, they sound like namby-pamby liberal crusaders who scrupulously censor everything they believe to be offensive or imitatable in cartoons. God forbid Junior should see a cat smoke a cigarette or a fish blow his brains out. It might warp him.

And why does the tall guy look like a Chester Gould design?

  • @HaggisMcCrablice I'm sorry dude, but you seem to be confused... Liberals are for the peoples freedoms to do and watch as they deem fit. Conservative Right wing Republicans are the ones who think everything in todays society is wrong... I agree with you on everything else, it's just the labels were wrong. It lies with the parents to decide what they want their children watch.

  • @phobosmercury -- No, no, no, no, no. You have fallen for what I've come to dub the "freedom fallacy". Liberals tell you that you have all the liberties and rights in the world, but what they really mean is a complex system of rules and entitlements. They want to micromanage your life to the smallest detail: what you eat, where you go to school, your job, the doctor you see, what you watch/listen to in the media, even who you sleep with. They are truly sick, disgusting people.

  • @HaggisMcCrablice ummm.... you just described what it means to be conservative.... It says it in the names "Conservative" meaning to be very rigid in one view point, and to be against anything that is outside that view point. "Liberal" is to be loose in those viewpoints, "to each is own, and whatever floats your boat" that no one has the right to tell you that what you feel is right or wrong.... Where do you get your information?... I'm a liberal and I know others who are nothing like that...

  • @phobosmercury -- I went to college. I worked for the school paper. They are the most rigid, intolerant people I have ever had the displeasure of meeting. They punish mistakes viciously, hold grudges, and don't want anyone who doesn't think like them near their little goodie grabbag world. You may be thinking of libertarians, who lend to be pretty loose and morally ambiguous, but are still too pink to suit me. But no. Liberals are monsters. They fear values, hate God and worship the Party.

  • @HaggisMcCrablice I don't know who you met, but I hate no one... Nor does the majority of the people I know... and I may not be Christian but I also know that God as well hates no one. Don't stereotype it's not nice and only makes everything harder for everybody... Tis' the season no matter who you are... It is your opinion however, and I respect that! Merry Holidays and Happy New Year!

  • @phobosmercury Why are people arguing about politics and religion here? This is meant to be about Ghostbusters.

  • @phobosmercury Actually, the definition of conservative has nothing to do with being rigid. It means be traditional in style or cautiously moderate.

  • @hyoboy81 exactly... And what they don't realize is that they pagan religions and traditions predate christianity, and therefore are somewhat founded on pagan ideals. Halloween. A Holiday used to cover up the celebration of Samhain, the next day being All Saint's Day. Christmas, another cover up on Yule, which lands a few days before Christmas eve and day, on the 21st..... Hypocrites... oi...

  • The block-headed guy seems like one of the parents that ruined kid's TV shows.

  • "yes, five years i waited to do that,! "Five long years!"

  • @LionheartCaptain

    Peter - Slimer, YOU'RE DEAD!

Slimer - Oh! Good observation, Peter ^^

  • I am the chairman of Citizen's United Against Halloween and lots of other stuff we don't like.

  • Egon should've reminded this Halloween scrouge that "fantasy" is what created the technology we have.

  • I LUV THE SONGS THROUGH-OUT THIS EPISODE.8D

Wish I could find them downloadable......

  • GB singing!? WTF!?

  • The ghostbusters mentioned in earlier episodes about a safety feature on the proton packs that allow crossing the streams to be only a light show. This feature is also available in the Ghostbusters Videogame. So, the streams crossing at 6:42 was an example.

  • it is? that's only on the PS3 game right 'cause I dunno how to enable the crossing the streams on the Wii

  • si tan solo estubiera en español :(

  • I never knew the Ghostbusters could sing! LOL

  • @CartoonCritter1985 You wouldn't think so after hearing them sing Maybelline in "It's About Time".

  • wht an excellent episode!

    hahahahaha

    peter is the best

  • "I've been, like, SLIMED."

"I've been waiting to do that for five years!"

    "Slimer, YOU'RE DEAD!"

    "Oh, good observation, Peter..."

This episode has got to have the BEST. SLIMER MOMENTS. EVER.

(But aw, poor Peter D: )

  • By the way; Ghostbusters singing and dancing and posing and shit = epic win.

  • first: I wonder how they all could survive the party, since they crossed the streams and then all the molecules in their bodies would explode at the speed of light.

second: lol at 1:34 to 1:46

  • Is that John Vernon as the Halloween-hating nut?

  • Umm... 6:42 ...

Isn't that the first rule of being a Ghostbuster?

    Don't cross the streams?

    Oh well.

  • @JPolka

Probably wasn't the usual streams. Could've been some special thingie :P

  • "i believe we're calling it 'halloween' this year ray." lol

  • "nothing wrong with kids dressing up as ghost and monsters and demons?" and apples apparently (3:33) XD lol
