Obama had a relationship with Wright, an American patriot, for 20 years but when running for pres, never sought his endorsement. McCain had NO relationship with Hagee, but ACTIVELY SOUGHT his endorsement, proving that McCain doesn't care about bigotry as long as Hagee's base votes for him. Well, when I wrote that, I was mostly responding to Elisabeth's responses to Hagee as she was brushing McCain's pastor problems off while Obama's pastor problems trump McCain's simply because McCain is white and Obama is African American. Hagee is a strong supporter of Israel. His argument was a silly one, I agree, but I think his intention was misinterpreted. As a fundamentalist Christian, he interprets the Bible literally and finds meaning in verses others would not find. I know the type; my uncle was a preacher. They sometimes say things that come off the wrong way. Of course, I oppose Hagee's views on homosexuality, but his love for the Jewish people can't be denied.
