Another thing, if all you people "own a 4d", then why don't you notice that in the video there is no 4d... you'd think after dropping that much cash to get a 4d instead of a 3d you would be able to tell them apart...
No way in he11 will a slightly off time beat be less noticeable in a club. Doubly more so actually. Look up syncing traktor w/anything. With some 3rd party programs it'll be tighter than rope
Everything sounds slightly off-beat all the time. But when you get to a club environment and add loads of bass the off-beat will become unnoticeable and actually add some live-likeness to the mix. Little bit too much going on in the mid range for me tough but still one of the best demos of the Maschine/Traktor combo that I have found. So it's a B+ from me...
I think the Xone 3D and Maschine are awesome but what I really took out of this video was the fact that you can put beats in the infobox for tracks... that's VERY helpful to keeping time.
Very nice job. I was wondering if you created the .tsi file yourself. Did you download one from the net for your 4d, or did you create yourself one from scratch? I was watching your video and @ 7:33, I see you scrolling through a track. I can't seem to get my settings on the jog wheel correctly to map it out like yours. Any chance of messaging me to let me know where i can find a .tsi file like yours? I love the way you have yours setup with the 4d and Traktor. Thank you.
@OneCrazyDJ Send me an email. I have a tsi file i've customized for a 4d to use the the jogwheels in addition to the bottom buttons on the midi section to allow you to beatjump or scratch using them. all four buttons on the bottom corresponding to their channel in traktor as in the bottom two on the left are beatjump and scratch for channel A, next two are for channel C and so on. The right side knob opens up the tree view and the left side is for the shift function. derekgodwin at gmail dot com
for those who wonder about the midi syncing: you can set traktor as midi master clock and let it send out midi clock to any other device that accepts external midi clock. (a drumcomputer, a synth, a laptop with audio/midi interface,...)
hint: check the NI traktor kontrol x1 that should be available now. for those of you who can't afford a xone 4D, this controller gives you full control over traktor while you can use any mixer for the audio routing.
ahh...the maschine bongo template ;) sounds better at the end when the timing's right. the chopped up sound in the beginning - slightly off sound - is interesting too though!. 10 minutes of synced softwares & hw- nice !!!!
@hablojackson ....But there's one important thing you've forget to tell.... A DJM800 doesn't have a internal AudioInterface/Soundcard like the 3D or 4D but that's no handicap! For the same setup you can take a NI Audio 10 (soundcard) and 2x A&H Xone1D (Midi-Controller) or you buy the A&H Xone:2D which is the Xone1D Midi-Controller with a 4 Ch. Soundcard/usb audio interface included , and you need just one more Xone 1D
