Gosh, I love these Tammy songs from the mid-70's. Unfortunately, these discs are impossible to find. Anyone have any hints about where to find this material?
Can't get enough of Tammy. I will sing with her in Heaven one day.
My poor Mother, used to play this song when I was just 8 years old, at the time I did not know why, but my cruel and heartless father was out cheating on her, Brave and penniless she divored him, but I cry my heart out even today some 30 years later just knowing the hurt that was going through her heart and mind, thank you so much for this post! She is alive, loved and Happy today.
I am an avid fan of Tammy's. My situation with my father cheating on my mother dying of cancer at the time is similar to yours. Mom died before she had the chance to divorce my father. I KNOW your pain! I feel it daily here. What album is this song from? Do you know? God bless my friend......aloha!
Thank-You for understanding. The Album is called I Still Believe In Fairy Tales. The pitch in her voice says it all? Does it not? You feel the hurt, that this woman is feeling, as though you are right there with her listening to her tell you this sad story.
I have the album.........cant recall the song but will check here again within 24 hrs. Hope to chat with you furthermore. Take care my friend and ALOHA!
Sorry I was wrong on the Album. It is on Another Lonely Song. The Song Homecoming is on I Still Believe In Fairy Tales. Which is another song as a kid, I remember being played. You see Tammy is from around my hometown, so she is like to so many others, a many a heartbroken womens hero, who understood all too well, Heartache.
You have this album? I am scrounging around for any of Tammy's albums from this period. Could you please get in touch with me if you'd like to explore the possibility of sharing or etc.
@brianemc We never realized just how religious, how spiritual, how supernatural these guiding figures were until suddenly there were no voices among the billions that remotely resembled theirs.
@brianemc I totally agree with you. NOBODY and I mean NOBODY can sing hurt like Tammy. I was born in 1960 and have listened to her all my life. I live in Lakeland, Florida and her and George had the Plantation Music Park less than 20 miles away. I went there when I was 11 and seen her and George, Conway, Kitty Wells and others. There's nobody I love to hear sing more than Tammy Wynette.
Tguy Lovely song. No one can sing like Tammy Wynette. Thanks for uploading
