its a missile test. its higher in the atmosphere so the sun is still hitting the exhaust.

This is def the Aurora project..or whatever they call it now...it has to be

too high to be a missile.. it's altitude is why the trail stayed lit/illuminated by sun so long after it was dark on the ground. could be a rocket boosting something into orbit, but it's going the wrong way, the path of this object was roughly west.
