  • @thestever Problem? :D

  • This is yours???

  • It literally is called Swinging Sticks and you can purchase for a ridiculous amount of money on amazon

  • omg i cant believe i found it by searching "iron man 2 spinning things"...

  • i think i have an idea of how this works.

  • awesome! it's somehow reminding me of a pumpjack :)

  • where can i buy this crazy thing ???

  • chaos theory

  • @futsalfred2 Similar to the double pendulum...but this uses batteries :/

  • But will it blend?

  • Ludzie powiedzcie jak to zrobić kamild09@gmail.com gg: 6032361

Ppl tell me how to do it ?? Mail up

  • who looked at the whole thing...come now don't lie. haha??

  • Fear Factor: Spider Edition - build a web here : )

  • name the object?

  • Does it spin any long without the batteries?

  • Comment removed

  • what will happen if i didnt put the batterys in?

  • Does it ever stop????????

  • HEY JOHN

  • HI NICK

  • why does it need batteries?

  • @xXShadowRejectsXx Mos Kinetic Sculptures needs batteries as they ran by electromagnetic base. For this model, the 4AA batteries used and last for up to one year depending on the type you use.

  • hi..i have a question..where will you put the battery?

  • @hunterhyde123 wow... did you NOT SEE the huge squared base where the sculpture sits?

  • it's sticks running on batteries....and this is worth $300?

  • what the hell, it takes a battery? I thought it was entirely perpetual

  • @xConArtestx

Lol is that a joke cos u sound serious?

How many perpetual motion machines have you seen...

  • Is there a video of it spinning without the batteries?

  • this would make an awesome carnival ride...Jus' Sayin'

  • It has higher truths

  • sadly is to expensive :-(((

  • Why that needs batteries? It doesn't run with the gravity and all that?

  • @123456789wil1 I see you need some lessons in physics.

  • @smshadowninja

I'm just a 14 years old boy, you know. I never had lessons in physics, but I've expected it runs like that.

    So? How it's work?

  • @123456789wil1 First, you have batteries providing the small magnet inside the device a charge. The device itself is more like a pendulum, except the different lengths of the rods allow a non-predictable path of motion. The magnet constantly exerts a small force on the rods, allowing it to continue moving. Because of the irregular shape and the design, you are lead to think that it's running off gravity. In fact, it looks to me like the magnet is in the base, near the center.

  • @123456789wil1 Second, this kind of motion is impossible within our current grasp of physics. For something to continue to move like this, it would need to be a perpetual motion machine. Such a device is currently impossible within our current understanding because of thermodynamics. Says something like you cannot gain, you can only break even. Even then, you have friction of the joints and air. So yeah, it's a nifty device, but requiring a battery is pretty lame

    Newton balls are awesome though.

  • wow! I could just put this on fullscreen and save $300!!

  • @pronoob5 there you go man!!! thats why i made the video! :)

  • @pronoob5 and you can also put some prons on fullscreen and save having a girlfriend.

  • I havent got £300 to buy one of these so I'm gonna make one, could you tell me the lengths of the two sticks & the distance to thier pivot points?

  • i want to lick it

  • coooool :0

  • I'm so disappointed, the little stick of mine doesn't turn =(((

  • Hi, I've a problem with this object (sorry if I make language mistakes =/). Could you show or tell me how to operate ? I put the batteries but nothing is happening, it doesn't move like in your video. Helppp !

  • @chouchougne after you put the battery in, lift the long stick so it sticks straight up and let go of it and it will turn

  • @RealCelebrityProfile wait it uses batteries? my dreams are shattered T_T

  • @RealCelebrityProfile what does the battery do? Does it help propel the sticks around? By the name of this item it seemed like the point of it is that it can power itself.

  • I envy you for having this.

  • Wow, no Dislikes.

Tony Stark has yet to watch this video.

  • i am so buying one when i get enough money XDDD

  • amazing at 4:26

  • guys if it runs on batteries hooking it up to a generator isn't going to result in any energy being generated.

I figured it was some sort of kinetic thing not electronic, not as awesome

  • It runs on 4 AA batteries. I just looked it up cause I was going to get one but $289 is a little crazy

  • If this thing suposubly never stops why don't we use this to our advantage like hook it up to a generator or something

  • @pheberulez i think it runs without battery...

  • connect a giant one of these to a generator, like a wind mill.....anyone? sounds like a good idea to me.

  • @glock727 LOL!! you're funny! =)

  • the least they could do is lower its price. oh, yeah. think of a smaller version of it...

  • how long does it workes without pushing it again?

  • Does anyone know where I could buy this for, like, £20? Cause' $289 on amazon is abit much :P

  • I have one for sale, $600 bucks ono

  • It was expensive but it is hand made... i guess that justifies it lol

  • @RealCelebrityProfile Dude, it wouldve been nice to have had some music , or atleast muted the background noise thanks

  • @artwel123 Press mute yourself, troll!

  • @MrZeppelin1988 Oooooh! baby done a booboo? dont mess yourself kid, go cry to mommy, booboo diddums :( boohoo :.(

  • @artwel123 thats just wierd... :/

  • why does it need batteries??? Shouldn't it be perpetual motion that doesn't need batteries?????

  • @SmarterProductions its not perpetual, it has two small electromagnets powered by the batteries, that repel the ends of the sticks

  • It's crazy expensive, I'd get if it wasn't battery powered. Reminds me of Newton's Kradle

  • is it working by electricity??? do i have to plug into something??

  • @holece it takes 4AA's

  • i no it has something to do with physics class...

  • thumbs up if you saw this on ironman 2>googled it>clicked link on yahoo answers>now you are here :D

  • @AznS0ulja thats what i did. I saw it and I thought "must buy now"

  • this thing is wayyyyyyyy overpriced

  • i got something like this about 10 years ago, only cost about £15 though

  • @sooRANDOMxD

Due to the second law of thermodynamics Perpetual motion is IMPOSSIBLE.

It can only be achieved in an Enclosed system. Which this is not!. Due to forces are acting on this....these forces range from Gravity and Friction (caused by the surrounding air).

If you invented a perpetual motion machine not only would you be the richest person who ever lived or ever will live but you would also be breaking a fundamental law of physics.

  • @grant11102 correct, so the engies threw two weak electromagnets that repel the steel bars as they come in range by the looks of it

  • you spent about 300 dollars and letf a camera in one place for ten hours ... why?

  • @kcired23 why not?

  • @sooRANDOMxD Perpetual motion is impossible.

  • how many batteries does it take ?

  • whered you get that?

  • someone should build an amusment park ride just like this.

  • was anyone besides me watching this for the whole 10 minutes?

  • Conservation of Angular Momentum, bitch!

    Best Quantity Ever!

  • I thought to get it to go u had to push it a little, not batteries dang that made it less

    cool

  • @mrfickensie It could technically go forever, the problem is friction. If you were to take out the batteries and do it, it would work, but for a short amount of time and it wouldn't be as "fluid".

  • I heard voices when watching this...

  • Yeah I heard about the perpetual motion and I was skeptical then I read on ThinkGeek that it's battery powered. That's amazing and I want one!

  • this thing is addicting

  • ok guys and girls that what this its $239.99 and here`s the link

  • Paint it red and yellow and glue it to the iron man armor

The bad dudes will be so utterly mesmerized by it they won't be able to do anything befor geting blow to smitherines :V

  • confirmed villian for Ironman 3

  • @mrb5169000 haha yea eye killer / confersation killer

  • make it stop!

  • I can't stop watching :D I wish I had 250$ :D

  • does it make any noise? how does this work, does it run on a motor?

  • i watched it for 5 minutes....whoa i need one

  • @Bombsofglory lol I watch it for hours on end! lol

  • lol, where can i get one?

If i cant buy one i'll make one :P

  • @orefrima I got mine on amazon... it was $248 including shipping

  • @RealCelebrityProfile jesus christ! why so much?

  • @orefrima also from think geek for $239.99

  • i want one. =)

  • does it go forever?

  • @L3XIS250 As long as the batteries run

  • @RealCelebrityProfile This require batteries? It doesn't run on pure kinetic energy?

  • @RealCelebrityProfile it runs on batteries?

  • @RealCelebrityProfile btteries?

  • @RealCelebrityProfile i knew it, people say that perperual motion is possible now with better technology and understanding, but i dont beleve it, every time i calculate the resault of some of their invesions it always fails,

  • @RealCelebrityProfile Won't any battery operated object run as long as the batteries are good?

  • @L3XIS250 it works with 4 batteries for about 12 18 month the price is about 400 $

  • @L3XIS250 :: NO, it does not go forever... if you would know about physics, you would know that it can't go forever.

  • @Whitegodtom

My question was already answered asshat

  • @L3XIS250 You can eat shit, you rude fag!

  • @L3XIS250 yes it does

  • i want one

  • awesomeness :)
