Great performance! So evocative of what the streets must have sounded like a century ago, when Louis was a 7 year-old boy singing on street corners for change. Doreen's chops are remarkable. Is she on tour at all, or has she recorded?

Doreen Ketchens is just flat-out the best clarinetist I've ever heard in my life, period. No visit to N'awlins is complete without a stroll through Jackson square on a weekend to sample her divine inspiration.

I love this interplay deciding what to play. There is a level of irony in that as they debate what to play we the audience knows they will play Basin Street. It's a great act and there is nothing like live music with the city of New Orleans as the backdrop, especially after all that has taken place after Katrina.

I liked the instrumental and the voice which is Jazz and Blues a la Louis Satchmo Armstrong. If you come from a straight laced European background of the classics that's clear but her singing style is classic New Orleans birthplace of Jazz.
