  • @zapukletska You need black socks. Watch the video dog.

  • Hell yeah! !!!!!!!!!

  • LOVE the bass drum sound

  • What do you do to work out your legs/ Ankles?

    Please Reply?

  • Wish i had double bass, only double pedal :( Nice double pedal i can go pretty damn fast bust not like that, One of the few videos that they have a solid beat and not a bunch of mess ups

  • nice pillow

  • Axis A1 series no wonder hes itting that sort of speed top market pedals :)

  • awesome dude really awesome

  • imagine this with mics and triggers

  • @SabianBoy1 triggers equal shit

  • he is joey jordison, thats why is face is offcam

  • nice shoes ! nice socks !!!

  • awsome bro.

  • nice carpet

  • INSANE

  • what spring tension do you have ???

  • the beggining is the weak willed by all that remains right?

  • quick question, do you only play with your ankles?

  • @Whettel

That's how you should play at that speed.

  • god, i wish i drummed like this. you say it takes practice, right? i think 80% of it is just natural born talent, straight up.

  • Drumming isnt music. Without a center there is no music. The drummer ist he heart and soul of the band. A cat walking on a piano is not music, because there is no center. A metrinome is not music. Its not a center. Its monotonous. Chanting a mantra over and over "aum" is not music. Aum like the drummer is the center. Shiva the god of death, his dancing centers around the heart, the wheel of destruction is his heart.

  • @ordosincorporated I want whatever you're smoking.

  • @manwiththemoves HAHAHAHAH the most epic reply i've seeen

  • @ordosincorporated i get you man...........im indian.....but why say all this here??

  • @ordosincorporated anything that has a rhythm or a beat is music... so you're telling me when men play the bongos.... its not music?

  • @ordosincorporated Your comment is less music than all those stuff you've described.

  • @ordosincorporated that would be like saying that playing quarterback really isnt playing football

  • @ordosincorporated thats not really true of say like church music, organ music. Its structureless, impossible to follow, and purely for background noise. Its music, it just doesnt have a defining beat behind it

  • @ordosincorporated This is false. The centre of drumming is the centre of the band, so without the drums the band falls apart. I posit therefore that drums ARE the music.

  • @ordosincorporated thumbs down bitch :/

  • @ordosincorporated ........can i buy some pot from you?

  • @ordosincorporated

Music is defined as organized sound. That's all. If I slap the shit out of your grandma rhythmically, I'm making music.

  • @ordosincorporated

After reading your comment i thought i was high but I'm pretty sure i haven't had any weed today

  • @ordosincorporated Are you talking about all percussive instruments? What about marimba? That's considered drumming. Steel drums, of course percussive. A percussion ensemble includes drummers which drum. Drumming IS music.

  • huhhhhhhhhh cooool

  • wood bass drum beaters? that speed? HOW DOES YOUR BASS DRUM NOT EXPLODE?!?!?!?

  • ... man ... why you shave your legs ???

  • @Gidovon makes me double bass 40bpm faster.

  • @manwiththemoves watch everybody start shaving their legs.:) tards

  • @manwiththemoves Thats what swimmers do when they play 300 bpm

  • @manwiththemoves lol!!!!

  • @Gidovon i think he shaves his legs because of the aerodynamic resistance xD

  • have you ever had problems with your beaters falling out of the pedals with these, my Tama Beaters are constantly falling out of the pedals no matter how hard i tighten them

  • @guitar77809 Yeah, everything on my axis pedals comes loose a lot, it's really annoying.

  • I FUCKING idolise you are so awsome and very very good on the drums

  • Excellent Video! I have Axis Longboards as well, and I really recommend changing your beaters. Get the Axis sonic hammers (I think the Iron Cobra CB90Fs work too). They're lighter and put off pretty much the same sound, I loved the change. Keep drumming dude!

  • That's some great technique, man. I swear, my ankles just don't do ANYTHING.

  • hey dude that's fuckin' awesome. Can't you please post a video where you're making a walk around your drumkit

  • would these be comfortable with a size 14 shoe? cus i've been lookin at a few pedals and most make that a problem (some that were still god were the tama speedcobras, and the pearl demon drives). wat do u think?

  • @MrVengeance1984 I wear a size 13 so you should be alright.

  • Sweet, epic, man.

  • dude i jizzed when your feet started moving...

  • @MisAryBlAde you must like tap dancers

  • @manwiththemoves HAHAHA !!

  • @manwiththemoves

Come up with a clever response to this!

  • what bass drums do u have? or better yet, what skins are those and do the foam rings make that big of a difference?

  • @drummin4InTheShadows Evans EMAD singly ply clear bass drum heads, Probably the best sounding head on the market, the foam rings are key.

  • @drummin4InTheShadows 22 inch Evans EMAD 1-ply clear. These are arguably the best sounding drum heads on the market. The foam rings give them a great sound, although a little lower volume. Good for the studio, but i would use something else live.

  • @manwiththemoves Completely agreed. I use the same bass head.

  • clean

  • If it aint broke, blast beat the fuck out of it.

  • i use the same beaters... the best for a very very loud and powerful kick

  • fuck!

  • great job... broootnalness

  • no wonder he's wearing running shoes!

  • i like it but change your shoes and hightop sox XD

  • i do believe "anti music" is called techno these days

  • @JuggernautShiz Not quite

  • that is tight...awesome chops...very even..

  • lol literally double bass.

  • hey man dont listen to the jealous faggot asshole here who come and talk shit what your doing there earns respect and you got mine - its immature not to enjoy all music... to state a form of music is unmusical is just disgusting and extremely immature ... that is from a person who doesnt know the challenge and probably posses no talent of any kind

  • Nice))))))

  • 0:05 ftw.

  • the beginning reminded me of "the weak willed" for all that remains

  • What was your routine to get your double bass down?

  • sick bro!

  • damnn, hella beast!!

  • heinzie5 is fucking faggot

  • Beast.

  • dude, this vid f'd up my subwoffer. good vid though!!

  • wow man; killer!!!

  • fuckin sick shit man i like the metroknome in the back to bro it helps out alot

  • woooooooowwww

  • how high are you sitting?

  • THATS REALLY FAST!

  • @sequeirax thoes are single, just cheap sound

  • SICK!!!

  • wanna start a band ? haha

  • Double kick is a beautiful thing.

  • i need those shoes

  • great great!! can u suggest me any videos for double bass drumming >?? im beginner

  • damn

  • bad ass

  • sounds just like Disasterpiece by Slipknot

  • Heinzie go fuck yourself. This man is a metal-beast, get out of here with your hippy soulfulness bullshit toadfucks.

  • heinzie5 is one of those jazz elitist fuckbags who wishes he could play stuff like this, but never will be able to, he is jealous probably iam too a little

  • u know the times when u watch something u think is gonna suck but when u watch u jzt stay paralized because its so fucking good...i jzt had that time

  • its like hes trtying really hard to rub one out

  • wtf perfect how do you make it

  • CALF MUSCLES.... STRAINING! haha nice! not into this style, but damn, you're good!

  • Nice video!!!... How did you get the sound of your bass drums???? Also what kind of drum set you have???...

  • @TheFpb2 thanks dude

  • @manwiththemoves nice blasts man :P ...fuck those fuckers who don't understand the beauty of blast beats

  • DAMN THATS FAST

  • The first 20 seconds or so sounds a bit like The Weak Willed by All That Remains, just faster.

Anyway, this is great! Good drumming man

  • what song?

  • lol sorta looks and sounds like George Kollias's sound style

  • very nice job

  • COOL

  • nice work man! now its time to check your other vids! 5/5

  • Why would people take the time to search this and then just critisize it?

  • 1 foot blast beats dam

  • ROAD RUNNER!!

  • finally, after half an hour (literally) of searching double bass drum I find something awesome and worth listening to.

  • lmao, that's freakin' awesome. I've messed around with double pedal stuff a bit, but am a jazzer through and through. Impressive, must be a nice calf/shin workout, haha.

  • @ajhjazz87 A good endurance workout is playing Blackwater Park by Opeth. It's not that fast, but I can assure you that you'll get tired since you're not used to playing double bass. Opeth has quite a few jazzy elements in their songs, so you might feel at least a little at home^^

  • nice playin

  • amazing drumming man, good job, u got any tips for me lol cause ive hit a plateau for a while now

  • a two footer... mwah...

  • What makes the bass sound awesome? No mics or anything right?

  • sick technique. barely moving

  • trust me its the shoes...they give u extra kick

  • @enzorider999

its the way u tune it, look at bob gatzen bass drum tuning, and take your own from that, i dont do it the exact way he says to do it, and i get the sound I want.

  • ppshh...nice sock and shoe combo

  • You're just so awesome.

  • duuude...thats some FAST footwork!

  • this is my favorite little drum clip. i watch it every couple months. it flows really good. i wish i was this good someday...

  • good!!!

  • Totally sick.

  • wat the fuk, im bustin my arse off with pearl pedals, and i find these 1s. i am sooo buying those pedals

  • Now that's fast.

  • @Miittle you can say that again

  • dude, How did you develop our technique so well? im having such a hard time

  • @DrumBum561 It could be largely due to the axis pedals. I've never tried them myslef but they seem to be uber sensitive and great for double bass.

  • holy crap... i crapped alittle..

  • hmm...nah.

  • @heinzie5 how?

  • its not creative, its more of a party trick

  • Whats the natural progression towards perfection in anything. You learn rudimentary skills. Learn how to incorporate them. Learn how to be more effecient at the task. Hence becoming faster. When there is a high cap you tend to get really profficient people whom others lower in ranks may resent but for thier own mediocrity.

  • that kind of bullshit is my point exactly. when your using phrases like "effecient at the task" and "others lower in ranks" you know you have gone wrong. music is about creativity, not a competition.

basicly your just another twat trying to look smart on youtube. well done.

  • Well I am glad that you thought that sounded smart. Just trying to put it into simple terms for you. Creativity? Flo Mounier, Sean Rienert, Charlie Zeleny, Marco Minnemann, Hans Grossman, and John Merryman among many other superb drummers use these same techniques. What creatiive about a rock beat?

  • Agreed

  • @falconer6439 you must be some posh twat who thinks the reason he got bullied at school was because people were jealous of him, thinks he's fucking smart, stands at the side of the pit thinking hes hardcore when he goes to a gig, fucks his sister and looks at the fucking drummers' technique thinking "I'm gonna be like that when I grow up!.."

  • Well not really many bullies to be had in high school, I am glad you think I am smart. I dont consider myelf "hardcore", I listen to many other genres of music, anything as long as it is talented. I wish my sister was as tight and easy as your biological mother. I am grown up so I can form opinions without emotions being involved.

  • No..

  • @heinzie5

i dont understand, explain how this is wrong?

it was on time and perfectly executed, no choppiness at all

sure, he only hit hard notes, but hes not trying to be a jazz drummer

see his bass drum, hear his bass drum? thats called attack, drummers who play quick motions without sustain, thats what he did, and theres nothing wrong with that

  • @heinzie5 i don't understand why you're getting all flustered over this. It'd be one thing if you said, "I don't like this style," but to say, "This is anti-music," is a bit harsh. You keep throwing out the terms "uncreative" and "unmusical," both of which are subject to individual interpretation. Sorry that you don't like what I'm doing here, but other people -including myself- do, so I'll have to disagree and say this is not "anti-music" or "wrong." Is everything you don't like "wrong?"

  • @manwiththemoves

Don't waste your time on heinzie, he's the 9 out of 10 people that don't WANT to understand this music. You'll never convince em, better just ignore their points about extreme metal. They're not worth discussing with.

  • if u don't like it u can't play it all beats are music people maybe not from the word go but with a bit of hard work and determination they all become sweet sweet music in the end. everyone should stop craping on about what they don't like and just shut up and play what they do like

  • @manwiththemoves I always enjoy it when someone gives well-reasoned arguments without resorting to profanity or insults. Good job, on that and the playing.

  • @manwiththemoves and they're pretty tough imo i have a 1ply emad for about 5-6 years and i rape it every day and it doesn't have a single crack or bump on it ;)

  • @heinzie5 okay...if you're so good, why not post some videos of you playing drums then? A true musician should have appreciation for ALL genres of music. I'd like to see what you can bring to the table.

  • @jayb613 i eagerly await your video camera. drum mics and cables and such in the post.

  • @heinzie5 your fucking retarded. dont even bother arguing.

  • @rockshox911 wow, you really showed me.

  • @heinzie5 i have a sneaking suspicion that you're shitty and drums and like bands like Nickelback and Creed. eat shit, kid.

  • @paintballonaim my influences include benny greb, jojo mayer and gavin harrison. also im 22 so not a kid.

  • @heinzie5 surely you're not an adult because you came in here saying this is anti-music. not only is that a childish response, it also isn't even correct. and you like a different style of music, and that's fine, but doesn't mean you should come here blasting ours.

  • @paintballonaim im childish from time to time. i can admit that. i bet you woud have a fair bit of trouble coming to terms with how childish your being by getting so worked up about my retarded posts on youtube though.

  • @heinzie5 Well I feel very bad for you that your brain interprets this drumming into something that is a disturbance. To enjoy all music and sounds is a gift, a gift you obviouslt don't have.

  • @heinzie5 Why would it be? this requires a huge physical strength, to be able to play this fast for an hour or two.

  • @heinzie5 I don't like all of van gogh's paintings, so does that give me the right to say the ones I don't like aren't any good? Actually, don't answer that. You are clearly the wrong person to ask. This is one of many many things you can do on drums. I doubt any metal drummer uses their snare and bass drum in this instance to express emotion. It is fast double bass and blasting. It's not meant to be artistic, it's stylistic. This video is an exibition of a technique and/or style. jackass

  • @2010cynic had a long and hard day so... *insert arguement here* go fuck yourself

  • @2010cynic To say this type of drumming isn't used to 'express emotion' is to ignore the purpose of art itself. Given context, or even played alone, anything you create says something, intellectual or superficial, and whether you want it to or not. Therefore, whether metal drummers choose to express emotion with the blastbeat, they almost certainly instill some emotions within the music and the listeners, which is to say they add the emotional element to both. This is far from just 'exhibition'.

  • It's all about using the ball of the foot and pivoting it as you play! But, everyone's different.

  • i totally hate two bass drums. I dunno whats the point of having that when there is such a thing as a double pedal. But who cares. Awesome drumming man!

  • unless you own a trick pedal, most double bass' slave pedals slow you down.
