  • I am playing it on the psp port, so I did not have a choice. I did have the ipod version of it (1 month after release), which probably had the choices that you faced. Unfortunately, I deleted it because of a glitch Game Loft made when doing the port (couldn't flip a switch on the Fairy Glade). I would reconsider it, but I gave my ipod to my sibling. It was worth downloading the psp version, so Game Loft just wasted $5 of my itunes giftcard. I hear they fixed it, but only playing psp version now.

  • Best. Ending. Ever.

    xD

  • years ago when my family and i would team up to beat this game, my mom thought this was the real ending. so from back when i was young, all the way up until probably a few years ago, i thought this was how rayman 2 ended. until one day, i looked it up, and realized we hadn't beat it after all. looks like i've got a game to play. >:]

  • @NeoLightElectro i didnt even get this far when i had it my favorite rayman game had to be hoodlum havoc

  • @manga595 well, i've played rayman 2 for as long as i can remember, so i'd say it's definately my favorite. not to mention, it's a classic that'll never be forgotten. ^.^ i also forgot to mention, we don't own a memory card for our N64, so we always tried to beat this game within a day, since we couldn't be able to save it. :P making it double-hard to get there.

  • I played the 3DS version of this game, and I'll admit, I answered yes to wanting the treasure, but not for the gold, I thought the elixir was a part of the treasure, I mean after all I figured that since they're both kept in the cave of bad dreams that would only have made sense right? Didn't know I would get a non-standard Game Over, I just figured the elixir was kept in the room as part of the treasure. Really came as a shock to Me as I try to be heroic and make good choices in games usually.

  • on the ps1 version you dont get a dialoge tion he just says he wants the elixer

  • i'v played on n64 it just restarts u back at the gold room after it shows fat rayman on the island

  • I thought, maybe the treasure is useable later if I need to buy items in the game. So i kept it and Landed on that island. At First i was speechless but then I thought, Maybe he'll learn to roll over his enemies...

And when I heard Raymans voice, I always believed he said something like:

Yo, What's happened? I think I was dead!

  • I Gave him to take the treasure and a sort of Door Open and I Fell Into It and there was a pirate and I jumped up and spend the shoot level, but a few years later I did it and it was not the same if I was in an island

  • As a kid I got stuck in this spot for weeks 'cause I didn't notice there's that other option too.

  • EVERYTIME you must choos if you want to keep a treasaure or not, never keep it :D

  • i initially told him that if and I shot by the trap

    was something strange

  • Good thing I did not pick that

  • "Hoyodzabvøt, itze duyieh!"---

Clearly translates to "unbelievable, it's gold!"

Clearly that is not gibberish. Think about it people: would Rayman have his own language or are you all going to tell me that the language of the tribe of the Anglos has reached beyond, unimaginable boundaries?

  • @xathanaric Uhm, he says that many times during the game with other translations, not only this scene...

  • @ChibbyTonx Hoyodzavøt can mean many things.

  • @xathanaric in that case the frase would be too ambiguous to be properly translated...

  • @ChibbyTonx you wouldn't understand. hoyodzavøt all this.

  • @xathanaric yeah, it would be like the language those manbirds from Ugly Americans use... not that easy actually.

  • @ChibbyTonx but of course. You just feel left out. Hoyodzavøt You!

  • YOU DO GET THAT ENDING ON THE 64 you have to have that red ExP pack that comes with DK 64

  • @xcom2009 I believe it does. :) Because mine ended this way. lol

  • i miss raman :(

  • I always choose this ending for the lols.

  • am i the only one who swear's rayman had a voice actor?

  • @DRAGOON2ONIONKNIGHT he does have a voice actor.

  • @Revix77 which version though? because in rayman, 3D!!!!!!!!!! he just spouts out jibberish

  • @DRAGOON2ONIONKNIGHT he speaks english in the Ps1 and PS2 versions of the game. Rayman DS has him speaking gibberish because its a remake of the N64 version.

  • 0:32 is he burping?

  • I always chose "No treasure for me" so I din't see this LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • WTF, the treasure turned him into Gabe Newell.

  • God laying on an island fat as a... Well something... Surrounded by gold or not take gold to help your friend who If he hugs you you're done for... What do you want???

  • best ending

    ow wait the world....

  • This was PS2 right? Because i played The ds version, which is a Remake of this The PS2 Version. But i saw, in The original One for PS1, rayman says:" i only Need The elixir to Save my friend." Then The scary Guy says: "you took all These risks for a friend? You amuse me. This shall help your friend". And gives rayman The elixir of life

  • Really game

  • i choosed "no treasure for me" because IS THE RIGHT THING TO DO (and that treasure not even was real)

  • this scared me as a kid!

  • greedy basterd

  • lol fatty rayman. XD

  • I got Rayman 3D last month. I got up to here and selected "I want the treasure!" The game over screen popped up. I knew some games had different things after selecting that, so the whole time I was thinking, "Please don't make me start from the beggining!" lol

  • The PS1 Version I think it's the only version where you don't need to choose on that part,As Rayman just automatically unaccepts the treasure,Not sure if it's like that on the PS2 Version.

  • @HamtaroSonicHedgehog in the ps2 version you need to chooe.

  • @TheGuillermo54:Aah Okay..Thanks for the info.

  • the thing is though if you look at his face hes actaully been teleported there as a punishment for his greed

  • Well actually, on the N64 version it makes you play through that level again. I'm suprised that it resets back to the choice part here...whats this version played on?

  • @TurboTom3000: This is the Sega Dreamcast Version.

  • Did he just tried to make the coin dissapear at the end?

Ain't such a good magician lol

  • Lol, I can't believe somebody actually filmed themselves doing this! X^D Yeah, I think I tried to take the treasure too my first time just to see what would happen. =^p

  • Lol, on the first time I accidentally chose this option and felt like shit afterwards xD Not to mention I had to finish the whole level from the start again because I thought I couldn't change my answer right away, lol.

  • Who'd strand themselves on a tiny little island with their gold? I mean, come on!

  • 0:13

    The tissue is gay!

  • I used PS1 version, so he automatically said no. I will try it in Rayman Revolution, though (:

  • 0:57 What he ate ?! McDonalds?

  • @Perry251096 MDR !

  • Comment removed

  • When i said yes, i was like WTF JUST HAPPENED??? XDDDD Rayman is fat, lol.

But i don't laugh at all.

What happens when i say "No treasure for me!"?

  • @Knux95 Then he gets some potion from the Devil (or something) which he can save his friend's life with.

  • @Crashgek

Ahaha late reply, but devil's name is Jano. o3o

  • @KittyandMimmy11 I kno.

  • @Crashgek

    Ok o3o

  • looks like at the end, his belly has been turned into another cave of bad dreams :DD

  • woah i didnt even knew this ending existed since when he said

do u want the treasure it automatically said no and yes for the potion.

and this is a weirdass ending too

  • Rayman got all the gold and ate in macdonalds thats how he got so fat

  • lol, right now, there are RIGHT 44 thousand views:D

  • I WAS ABOUT TO KILL MYSELF WHEN I HEARED IT WAS THE END!!!!!!! I WAS LIKE SHITEEE MUDDA FUKKAAA LIKE SERIOUSLY???!!!!! but then i found out you can change your option.... phew! thank god i would have taken a knife and killed myself. lol

  • best ending ever hahaha XD

  • lol! When me and my friend saw this we couldn't stop laughing!

  • I save stated at the decision just to see what would happen if I picked yes. I thought he was going to eat me or something. I lol'd hard at the ending screen XD

  • it has no sense, why can't you save your friends and be rich?

  • Let's think about it this way: what use does Rayman have for money? All things considered, the world they live inside of most likely would not have a economy that depends on a financial commodity or such.

With all the spiritual beings and powers afoot, money is not necessary (as far as we've seen). So in a sense, that is the trap here. The guardian's last test for Rayman is to see weather he'd take some useless gold, or take the Elixir of Life he's after.

  • @Saestrol Razorbeard bought that robot with money so the gold has use

  • @Saestrol

Obtaining money was one of the pirate's main objectives. If you also remember, Razorbeard used a treasure chest of gold to purchase the giant robot to beat Rayman, which he could easily afford by being a pirate.

But why do pirates like them need to steal money when they could basically just steal anything they want by brute force? Stealing money is a waste of time haha.

  • @TonyWRO because if you are too rich you risk to eat too much and so to be fat

  • @romain1993 fat Rayman can save his friends too

  • Man this whole thing freaked me out when i was younger. Can't put a finger on it but it's just a weird sort of carrion to throw in the game. Odd.

  • @Andinator Me too.

  • wat the hell was the point off choosing the gold anyway if you cant spend it when ur stuck in the middle of nowhere on a deserted island?! =P

  • wat?! no way i dont want him to end that way!?!?!

  • That is what i chose at first LOL

  • It's long ago that I saw this video. It is funny.

  • Why is it that they can't speak in N64 version/ They can in PS2 and in revolution

  • lol i like how they make it like the end of the game if you choose that one.

    sad fat evil....ending....

  • XDDDD

  • ohyobanza

  • its like in pokemon soul silva when u cant say tthat u like stronger pokemon but u have another choice. yknow why cant i have the gold without killing my friends, ending up on the last land on earth, eating half of it, being fat, and being very bored

  • lol i chose the treasure the first time i played it honestly what would anyone do?

  • lol When I first saw that I lmao! I have the DS version, what version is that?

  • @ChampionRevilo Hey I'm kinda considering buying the ds version but they say that the controls are horrible, is that true?

  • @Scuro1000 It depends what kind of DS you have. I dunno for the DSi and DSi XL but for the original DS, the D-pad is perfect for this game since it's big and flat. On the DS Lite, the D-pad is small and fat, wich makes it hard to control but it ok with the stylus. It's a port of the N64 version though and everybody knows that the DS can do much better but it's still fun playing this game on a handheld.

  • i allredy tried this on my cd version lol hes fat

  • lol i chose that xD

  • lol wen i was kid threw my controller at the tv screen becasue that is kind a bad way to end

  • i don't understand i won fair and square im rich beyond my wildest dreams

    what happend

  • What happened is he let Razorbeard destroy the world while he greedily stuffs his floating gut on some Island alone... yeah, not happening for real.

  • I felt horrible when I chose the treasure. Goes to show money doesn't buy you happiness. = P

  • No kidding, i thought i beat the game after i took the treasure!

  • Clark death :(

  • Comment removed

  • i played n64 and there's no reset it brings you back to the treasure and make you chose again

  • Hence the annotations over the text.

  • i have the ps1 version of this game, so i didn't even know u could get the treasure until now :-o... this is first time i've seen N64 version, and the graphics look much better then on PS1... which came out first or were they at the same time? also, why does he have to get punished for taking the gold? he shouldn't have to put up with this saving his pals stuff! he can say, "screw you guys, i'm going home"... but he's to much of a good guy... bravo rayman... bravo............

  • Woa.. i never finished this game i remenber i spent more time getting all those yellow stuff on most level but then lost the game when there were a few levels left <<

  • Hehe, yea. When I first played through Rayman 2 I OF COURSE chose the option "No treasure for me!". I mean, it was obvious this would've been bad since I actually had to heal Clark. Due to the high level of difficulty I never felt like playing this game again though.

But when I bought Rayman DS I wondered "What might happen if I actually TAKE the treasure?"...

Um yea, I lol'd, but I was also worried if they really let me do the game again... or at least the whole level :P

  • Dare I say... Screw the Rules I have money?

  • LOL ! Rayman became a new version of Wario !

  • yeah, THAT IS a good final!!! XD

  • What?! Oo

  • Ahahah xDI laugh so much

  • I remember the first time I played this game when I was little. I choose the same option. and really thought that the game was over! I was a dumb kid.

  • Sadly in the Playstation 1 version you can't choose, Rayman automaticaly chooses not to take the gold.

  • @InsanimationStudios

The thing I don't get about the PS1 version is that they sacrifice a bit of the game (and this bad ending) for real English voices. Why Ubisoft?

  • personally, i always thought if you picked the treasure, the gaurdian dude, what was his name? Eig? whatever, i always thought he would like eat your soul or something, cuz it technically IS just rayman's soul in the cave...

  • Why is he fat?

  • @Calebtheunknowned

Maybe because since he's on a deserted island, he hat to EAT some of the gold!

  • @Calebtheunknowned

good question im assuming its because most people are under the impression fat = greed and greed = fat. although I've generally found this to be wrong it seems to be an ancient stereotype of english literature.

  • @Calebtheunknowned Well, what do you expect from a rich guy? XD

  • Memories... I remember that this music scared me :D

  • i agree with troutshooter XD,when the " THE END " appear i also worried that i wont be able to play the rest of the game

  • me too XD

  • Lol this is funny.

  • Ah i remember this one but i choose for no because my brother also did and then you can go further.

  • ahh memories....

  • hahahaha i remember choosing the treasure a few summers ago. When i saw the gameover screen i seriously thought that was the end and i wouldn't get to play through the rest of the game...but Ubisoft's got a good sense of humor.

  • Looks like he ate the gold o.o'

  • Yes.

  • wow all that gold and he just spends it on an small island, a chair, and getting fat

  • Where is the chair? And no he just eated gold. But i don't want so many gold.

Duh he had much more gold but he eated almost verything.

  • Nvm i see the chair.

  • This game used to scare the crap outta me when I was 5 XD First couple of times playing whenever those...things ate Rayman I was like: O_O...........

  • So.. in the n64 version, if you pick the treausre, IT'S GAME OVER?! YOU HAVE TO START THE GAME AGAIN?!

  • Heck no. Ubisoft would be evil if that was the case.

  • @Saestrol thats what happened in MY copy

  • I thought it before i watched this video so i choosed no.

  • Oh and in Ps2 version not then?

Do you have eyes? It does not matter which version you have and no it is no game over.

  • uhhhhh pwned?

  • and another thing:

    *Brio pops out*

This isn't the end! I invented endings!

  • Yeah XD

  • i played the N64 version, i chose to take the treasure and i went WTF but i was so pissed off that i had to beat that monster again.

  • 1.Rayman:i want the Treasure who needs clark globox and ly!

2.Rayman:i dont want your filthy money i wont be able to put it anywhere!

  • By saying yes u in other way take suicide LOL :D

  • lol i still remember this game xD

  • When i saw the island scene, it made me somehow think USA ;)

  • Hahaha! Oh god, I didn't know this was the other way XD

  • 0:49 Rayman's eyes are beautiful!

  • rayman "WHHHAAOO"

    lol

also, isn't that the island globox floats on?

  • lol so your trasure is being fat, lonely on an island ??? X'D

  • with all the money :D

  • When i was little i was traumatized because i said yes to the treasure, then the game froze up when i was on the island, i had to do everything even before the cave of bad dreams again!

  • Your making that up. :|

  • no dude!, i was in complete frustration, it reeeeeaaly pissed me off! i almost gave up on the game

  • Rayman is fat xDD: 0:55 - 1.21

  • lol I was 7 and I chose it twice

  • well... if rayman was smart, he could just keep the money, and before the giant eyeball can do something about it, blow him up :P

  • That's pretty futile since this whole thing is actually happening inside of Rayman's head at the Guardian's command. This is made evident after this scene ends.

  • Hahahaha oh god this is awesome! On the PS1 version you don't get to choose. Too bad...

  • nice job man and funny :)

  • jaja thanks I never see the alternative option!! =D thanks again =D

  • Comment removed

  • dig dog its just toontown who let the dogs out

  • that was the end of the game if u chose the treasure?

  • No. It gives you an "Ending" but it's just a "What If?" scenario until you pick the right choice.

  • It didn't give you the option to decide in the PS1 version... Or did it?

  • No. I never remembered an option on the PS1 version.

  • I have this game on dreamcast and i chose the treasure i have a ISLE MAN WTF is thas !!! i'm french

  • It doesn't give you a game over on the DS version either.

I still crack up whenever i see this.

  • You shall die fat, unhappy, lonely, and rich! Man, that made me sad ;(. lolz

  • I tried it on the PC version but to me something diffenrent happen. I was eaten... I think

  • all, the same thing happened to me and i was all pissed off because i thought that was the end of the game until i new it wasnt then i did the same thing again because i thought it was pretty funny only i had this game on the ds its called rayman ds just in case u dont know it.

  • lol thats what i chose the first time I chose and i was like WTF JUST HAPPENED!!!

  • I took this decision the first time on the DS version & forgot that Rayman didn't enter the "nightmare cave" because of the treasure. he was after a cure for a sick friend

  • sae, that comment you wrote 4 weeks ago, you wrote n54.

  • Lol big deal!
