  • What were you filming in the first place?

  • i think zeus hates mcdonalds

  • I was secretly hoping an actual transformer would appear and just blow up :)

  • One hamburger too many and McDonalds looses power

  • OHHHHHHH no micdonalds power went out!!!!!!!!

  • That wasn't the transformer, you would have seen a fireball fly out of it, due to the oil overheating, that was etheir a wire grounding out due to a bad insulators, and it just tripped the fuse.

  • 10 minutes ago there was a lightning in gamestop the whole place burned down, now where i buy my games ?

  • take THAT Ronald!!

  • Mildly interesting video of an off-screen blue flash (lightning or arc) during light snow, but badly mislabeled. "Transformer Blows Up During Blizzard"??? This video shows no transformer, nothing "blowing up", and no blizzard. Visibility is about 1 mile. "Blizzard" means visibility = about 5 feet, not 5000 feet. No transformer is visible. (They're large can-shaped objects on poles.) Nothing "blows up". (No explosions or fires to be seen anywhere.) Grade: D (mislabeled) Stars: 2

  • OK, you seem to know alot. I heard an extremely loud BANG yesterday. It sounded like a gunshot, but much much louder. Do you think that could've been a transformer explosion? I didn't hear anything before or after it. It was extremely loud though! And it did happen during a snow storm. I didn't know what it was, but my dad wo works at the National grid said it mightof been a transeformer exploding. This video is just an arc flash isn't it?

  • @IloveSPIDERZ : A very loud BANG could be a lot of things: car backfiring, firecracker, gunfire, expulsion fuse on a power line, explosion in a burning building, etc. Not an arc (that makes a loud "BUZZZ" at 60Hz, not a "bang"), and not a transformer explosion (that makes a deep "KABOOM" and sprays burning oil). The blue flash in this video was probably a lightning strike or a power line arc. If the video had sound, that would tell more. (Lightning goes "bang", power-line arcs go "buzz".)

  • Thanks lonewolfintj! OK, I'll eliminate arc flash, car backfiring, firecraker, and burning building. (I have seen some buildings on fire explode, it is VERY cool! haha)

  • I'll tell you exactly what it sounded like. Look up and watch the video "Concord Breaking the Sound Barrier", and it sounded exactly like that. Which opens my mind to a sonic boom. The reason I eliminated the things in the previous post was because there were NO sirens. Not before, not after.

  • @lonewolfintj You are dead wrong on the blue flash. I have seen MANY transformers blow and what you see is a distincitive Blue Flash. A transformer explosion usually comes along with an ARC- obviously. Oh, and btw lightning sometimes goes Kaboom too LOL

  • @jgong8638 : No, you have not seen "many" transformers explode. Very few ever explode, so you can't have have seen "many" even if you were there to witness every one. And you weren't. More likely, you've seen exactly ZERO transformers explode. You've seen many "wires arcing" and choose to call them "transformers exploding", even though you know better. That is ignorant behavior, not something to brag about. Blue flash = wire arcing. Huge red fireball = transformer exploding. Not hard.

  • @lonewolfintj you're obviously hard core

  • McDonalds take down by Burgerking: Success!!!!

  • the mc donalds goes out right after

  • This just happened to me right now! I was just looking out the window when suddenly, this huge flash of electricity followed by a huge boom came up before my eyes! Im still shivering to this moment cause it was very shocking!

  • @ronny4ever123 haha pun.... shocking i get it. jk i'd be scared too man.

  • @superjoe87

wasnt supposed to be a pun :P

  • i know dude... i was just joshin' you.

  • the same thing happened to me the transformer at night blowed up like a few poles near me it scared the heck out of me!

  • and the the mcdonalds sign goes out XD

  • thats what caused it. Got dam McDonalds and their Double Cheeseburger price hike!

  • no , it flashes then goes out

  • I find this video SHOCKING.

    (get it? electricity - shocking.)

  • 0:35 u think for a second its a shiny day o.O

  • It lit everything up like daytime. That happened where I live last winter with a 750,000 volt transmission line.

  • random colerful lights

  • call that a blizzard? i live in buffalo ny, i got your blizzards right here

  • Bye bye McDonalds, see u at the opening ceromony to buger king.

  • lol BNSFSD35 is me i lost my password and the link wouldn't work so i created this one. Ur right mcdonalds suck!

  • HAHA Sucked in McDonalds!

  • oooh colorful

  • Thatll teach the power hacker to stop stealing electricity for his hydro pot growing operation.....

  • and then all the burguers were fried

  • Lol, thats kind of funny...McDonalds was the only place that lost power.

  • Yeah I thought that was weird, but apparently college hill (way off camera to the left) lost power as well.

  • dude, WTF were you doing, I did not see any fire or sighn that that was going to happen so you should not have been up there. Why were you creeping around in the bush spying on Mcdonalds employes?

  • Actually, I was looking out the window of my apartment. I was trying to tape the wind / rain when this happened randomly.

  • LOL^^

  • Pause at :36, looks like daylight

  • It does lol

  • omg O_O

  • it's really wierd it looks like three things going on, some brief pale red glow like a short offscreen to the left. then the same glow again followed by a bright blue arcing. then you can see the bright blue piont of light obviously coming from the lower transformer arcing. so maybe one transformer blew up first off the to left causing the one down by the McD's to overload/short/arc/fail. im wondering why you cant hear the one offscreen buzzing cause it seems pretty close.

  • nobody really wants to read a big paragraph but that was sweet

  • i think one transformer blew in the distance causing a chain reaction and causing two other weak ones to go from the resulting surge .. im just guessing

  • Wow! You can really see the difference before and after the short circuit.

  • i wonder what happened in Mc donalds

  • it closed lol

  • dammit i wanted a whopper! =[

  • Don't you mean a Big Mac? I'm sure the Burger King down the street still had power. xD

  • Lol if u look at the McD's light sign ( the M ) u can see that it goes out. I think McD's lost power XD

  • dude wtf?

  • nice
