Grass would have been nice, but the turf requires less maintenence, and they can use the stadium for other things without chewing up the field (high school, and the Vikings while their new stadium is constructed, hopefully).

That would require Minnesota to have fans, let alone have them travel to Kinnick, The Reason the Dome was and still is Kinnick North is because Iowa fans would pack the Dome Every Year it was played at the dome.. Minnesota Fans are pretty short sighted to forget about the Hayden Fry Years in which Iowa was warned for excessive noise while at the Metrodome.
...And now that is not even going to happen; the U said no beer anywhere in the Stadium....EFFFFFFFFFFF! All I want is for College Game day to come to this stadium when the Gophers play Wisconsin. Sadly the stadium may have more badger fans than gopher fans, though not likely, it may happen.
no I doubt cuz only 3,000 seats are reserved for the away team then the rest is under a point system through the university. and students, family and alimni got those sold out pretty quick its a good amount smaller than the dome...and like you say if there is no beer ur not gonna get many wisconson or iowa fans for that matter there.

it holds like 51,000-52,000 with all the boxes I think thats not bad. I heard in the future their gonna add like 10,000

T-wolves, Wild as well as the Gophers, there's just not alot of reason for Minnesotan's to go to....ahem.... Iowa 0.o

No it won't. You actually have to win a game there
to do it. This aint gonna be a "neutral field" like
the Dump was. The Gophers will have an actual
