  • Superb :), I caught it at Teignmouth on the outward leg which must have been a matter of seconds after you did :).

  • @gjbarnardtube Glad you enjoyed the video and your shot at Teignmouth was very good. Thanks for taking te time to comment. Regards, John

  • @molzips the dates for Lizzie run is november 12/13, not this weekend.

  • Excellent video and locations, I filmed from the same loction at Dawlish last September.

  • @sirhcsteam Thanks for the comment and hope your videoing wasn't as precarious as mine with the wind and the waves. Regards, John

  • @sirhcsteam Just noted my error after replying to my email as Lizzie is out on th 12/13 Nov. I am not sure yet. Regards, John

  • @sirhcsteam I appreciate your comment. Regards, John

  • @molzips just curious if your heading north to capture any of lizzie's run.

  • @Mikelandscaper I am going in the opposite direction to video the Mid Hants Steam gala this weekend. Regards, John

  • Fantastic shots. A classic shot at Dawlish, and captured superbly. Your last shot is also superb, with both engines storming through the station.

  • @HomeMoviePerson Your comments are most welcome and I am pleased you enjoyed the video. REgards, John

  • Very good shots, great to see the waves crashing at Dawlish

  • @caerphillycastle Many thanks and I appreciate your comment. Regards, John

  • Pure class John the opening shot was priceless the light the waves and two superb locomotives making the perfect shot. Thanks for sharing your work.

    Many regards Phil.

  • @981smithy Phil, I was pleased with the result and very much appreciate your comments. Regards, John

  • @SuperGardenguy Dave, Thanks for taking the time to comment. The pairing was absolute must for me to see. Regards, John

  • Nice clips, especially along the sea wall. Adds a bit more drama with the sea crashing over the wall. Keith

  • @hemerdonbank Keith, I really appreciate your comment. It was a pity the wind was so ferocious but I guess the rough seas come with the wind. Regards, John

  • @hemerdonbank Keith, The result is dramatic but I would have preferred less wind. Regards, John

  • That was some outstanding work there John! The sea wall shot at Dawlish really beats the odds shame it was windy though and the waves splashing over the sea wall, I wish I could've gone there now that I've seen it all.

  • @GreatWestern175 Thanks for your kind words. I guess the video is more dramatic to see and less to hear. Regards, John

  • Great footage John, I went down to Newton Abbot on Thursday and the sea around Dawlish was like a mill pond.....This pairing was superb.....Bob

  • @robmasterman Bob, You must have had a calming influence on the area and my visit had quite the opposite effect. In fact the wind was so strong I had to secure the tripod to a steel pole on the jetty. Regards, John

  • Super shots, well coped with the wind too.

  • @BritishTrainVideos I appreciate your comment. Regards, John

  • Cracking video John, the shot at Dawlish is so dramatic with the waves crashing up against the sea wall, something of a timeless feel to the shot. At least the unit at Tiverton Parkway didn't spoil thing too much, lovely night shot.

  • @acw71000 Yes you're right you could imagine such a sight in the 50s and 60s. Thanks, as ever, for your comment. Regards, John

  • It is really exciting to think that September and October have seen 2 different doubleheader tours pulled by no less than 4 different locomotives involved. 5029 & 60019(last month) 6024 & 70013(this month). On the Same line as wwell.

  • @Mikelandscaper I saw the Mayflower tour last year but missed this year. I was not going to miss a King and Britannia pairing. Thanks for your comment. Regards, John

  • DawLASH wall ,seething sea , twin steam giants giving it some , chemistry well captured , thanks , it was Warships for me along there on teenage holidays !!

  • @SuperWHIZZO Apart from the usual units that now run up and down the sea wall most locomotives and especially steam look good at this location. Regards, John
